They serve Smithwicks, which can be hard to find at times. Steve is a pretty cool guy to watch a rugby game with. There's a pool table and small stage for local musicians.

Big bartender guy was a jerk. I asked to use the restroom before I ordered and he insisted that I order a drink first. I'm not letting that sit out on the bar to be tampered with so I went elsewhere. It was an embarrassing exchange in front of the patrons.

I really like this place and I've been coming here for years. I don't know if I would call this a "legitimate" Irish pub, but if you are in the mood for Harp or Guinness, they have it. While it isn't the cleanest bar in the world, it does attract a good crowd and they have bands playing almost nightly.... More

Nice little spot for a drink, not too crowded, not real cheap, ($5 draft, $8 whisky), claim to fame is live music, stop in when they have some performer that appeals to you.

Been to Ireland many times and enjoy the pubs there. This ain't no Irish pub. Rude little bartender. Short pours of whisky in uncommonly small whisky glasses. 2 musicians but disappointing music.

This is a bar with a pool table. The bartender is gruf, but fun to talk to, Do not order a dring with an umbrella, because you might get asked to leave. Stop by for a drink wortyh the visit. take note of all the dollars on walls.

Reminded me of McGuire's in Pensacola with all the dollar bills hanging from the ceiling. They do serve half pints of Guiness which is nice. Couple TV's for sports lovers.

We had a great time there Friday night. Medium sized crowd. Great music, cold beer, and none of the crazies from Bourbon. Planned to just stop in for one beer to get out of the cold, but ended up staying for several beers.

Fantastic little place!! We found this delight totally by accident right after the Sugar Bowl Parade when we were walking back to our hotel. Wonderful atmosphere, terrific barkeep. Nonsmoking, nonvaping--extra treat!!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
