While visiting New Orleans we attended the Easter Mass at Immaculate Conception and it was lovely. My husband's family attended this historic church in the early 1900's. Beautiful Church with a friendly congregation. So glad we went!

Read a review about Immaculate Conception Church so decided to see for myself. The Church was beautiful. I was so impressed with the architecture and the impeccable maintenance of it. It was so tranquil sitting there and marveling at it.

Located across from the Roosevelt Hotel, ICC is beautiful. The stain glass and carvings are breathtaking. Glad I finally went in to light a candle.

Beautiful Church. The architecture was beautiful and no detail was overlooked. Going to this Church and the famous Cathedral was the highlight of my visit to New Orleans.

I visit this church every time I'm downtown on a Sunday. I absolutely love the fact that they offer a 7:30 pm service.

We decided to take in a noon mass during the week. It was absolutely beautiful inside. A must see if you're in New Orleans.

A lovely serene and beautiful Church. Well worth a visit to get away for a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the street... Gorgeous-inside and out. THANK YOU!

Amazingly beautiful church building. Inside and out, the classic architecture are not only spiritually uplifting, but also artistically stunning. The wrought iron pews alone are worth a visit, but there is so much more.

St Louis Cathedral gets most of the attention, but ICJC is a GEM of little jewelbox, tucked in the CBD just off Canal. The most gloriously beautiful and yet, at the same time, intimate church I've seen! We were there for the St Joseph's Altar, but I can't wait to come back for solitude and further exploration.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
