About
We're hosting live cooking shows, private events and so much more!! Now we can travel to your airbnb, vrbo or private home. We also host small events for under 10 guests in our space. We are taking the show on the road all over New Orleans. Local restaurants, festivals, street fairs and even private homes. Please email us for more information about our public and private events. Think of Langlois as a traveling food show - we bring the best of New Orleans cuisine and Louisiana cooking to you. Our trained chefs are storytellers, food nerds, Louisiana natives, and culinary historians who make every event memorable, fascinating, and fun. We take guests on a journey through the history and ingredients of Louisiana's unique food culture, and our demonstrations explore all of the influences in Creole and Cajun cooking. Check out our facebook page for information on our public offerings and free demonstrations. Private bookings available upon request.

What an amazing experience with Chef Amy and her Team. Amy could not have been a better host. Allison (Comedian) was funny and could not have been more pleasant. Everyone truly helped make my wife's birthday memorable.
The food was delicious, the Facility was impressive and the people could not have been better. Fun, delicious and entertaining.
From planning to execution and every step in between, chef Amy made every step of the process enjoyable.
The Crepes were not only fun to make, they were delicious. As for the Crepe toss competition, I believe it is going to take off and it will ultimately become an Olympic sport.

We had an amazing time with Chef Amy and the crew! The team building event was a hit with all of our staff, everyone had a fab time. It was really interactive and everyone was involved and really into the competition. The communication ahead of time with Chef Amy was a breeze. I definitely recommend for a corporate team building event!

I booked this as I was traveling alone and thought it would be a good way to meet some people while leaning something new. Also it was the number one restaurant on Trip Advisor. The experience certainly didn't disappoint. The class was informative on local culture and cuisine and great fun. The food was great and the bottomless wine was good value and my glass was never empty. It's a little bit out of the way but well worth finding.

We found Langlois as Trip Advisor #1 restaurant, so we booked before our trip to New Orleans. First of all, if you book on opentable, be aware that you have to pay within 48 hours otherwise your reservations will be cancelled. Understand it only has capacity for 16 people, but the cancellation policy is very strict, once you give them your credit card information, you cannot cancel it, but they allow you to reschedule. If you don't live in New Orleans, I would recommend you not to book it, until you are 100% sure that you can attend that evening.
We took the hop on hop off bus, asking the tour guide for direction which she does not even know about that neighbourhood. We got off the bus, and walked around & felt a bit insecure in that neighbourhood. We finally found it, which is located in the same block where there is a XXX store. We were there early, so they told us to come back later, for which there was practically no where to go to, and it was getting dark outside. We wandered for another 10 minutes to head back immediately. I would recommend to take the taxi to & from only as it does not seem like the neigbourhood to walk around.
The name as interactive is quite misleading, as I am really expecting to be cooking all 3 courses with my partner with the chef's instructions. For 12 people, we are sharing only 2 induction portable stove tops. We were taught to make crepes only, which was used for crepe suzette later on finished by the chef. And one guest toss the salad. We did not even know how main course was done. For $99 per person x 2 people + $30 wine pairing per person x 2 people = $260 + taxes & 18% gratuities, with a simple salad, pork chop on beans, and praline, good that she has added the crepe suzette as dessert, otherwise you'll only have 1 piece of praline per person. We went to over 10 smart casual to fine dining restaurants while we were in New Orleans that week, and this $99 is really overpriced. For $99, we were expecting us to be fully participating by cooking every course of our meal at our own cooking station like a cooking class. We went to Emeril's, Antoine, Toma's Bistro & etc, and you can can wine & dine for 2 people under $150, and receive exceptional food quality and service which is half of what we paid at Langlois!

Went to dinner there based on Langlois' reputation as a great place to learn about local cuisine, get your "hands a little dirty" cooking, and enjoy a great meal. This place surpassed expectations.
The food was excellent, the staff extremely friendly, and the experience among the best we've had at similar places (even internationally). We are from out of town, and got to meet some locals and other out-of-towners & enjoy a nice meal with them.
Would absolutely tell anyone this has to be a stop when in New Orleans.

My husband and I had a great time. The food was delicious and unlimited wine was awesome! We love food so this was the perfect way to spend our first night in NoLa. I'm still trying to perfect the pecan praline bites, they were AMAZING!! Thanks for such a great time :-)

My husband loves to cook, and I love to eat and drink wine! This was the perfect date for us. Many cooking techniques were taught, and the creole and Cajun cultures were cleared up for us. You can participate as little or much as you like.
Chef Amy has taken her winnings from, "Beat the Chefs," and has created a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere to cook and dine in. Appetizers were on the table waiting for us when we arrived. We were then offered beer or wine. You can buy individual items, or they charge an all inclusive flat rate of $30.
We purchased a a piece of Italian terra cotta cookware, which we plan on using by week's end to prepare one of the recipe's provided to us by Lanois.
The other Chef present that evening was Chef Tess. I loved her story of working on a riverboat traveling the Mississippi, learning various methods of cooking. She is really great, as is Amy.
Great personalities, and a lot to share. Another class with these fine ladies will be on our itinerary on any return trips to NOLA!
Oh my goodness, I almost forgot about the pralines and bread pudding we made. Heavenly!

I visited NOLA in Oct for a conference and my husband joined me for the week end. I chose this rest because I thought it would be a unique experience. We are used to high priced meals as we visit NYC often. Although the experience is a good one and the atmosphere was good, the food was average and grossly overpriced. When my husband asked for more wine, the server replied "I can't do that, we can sell you a glass". We went away feeling ripped off and hungry. The main course was 5 medium shrimp that was served our a a half loaf of bread. There were small appetizers and a very large salad that I believe she hopes to make people feel full. The wine was very over priced. At a 400+ price for two, these are Daniel Boulud prices and the restaurant is not close to that level. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I hope the owner survives and fulfills her "dream", but she needs to change the food and the pricing.

Wonderfully fun evening cooking, drinking and eating with two incredible chiefs and a seamless waitstaff. Chief Tess is a true goddess of fried chicken. Chief Amy's teaching kitchen is a unique twist on an evening out in NOLA and simply not to be missed (get the wine flights!). Buy her cookbook- part family history, part Katrina history, part incredible recipes. We stayed up late in spite of our post-gumbo and fried chicken happy haze- and read it after dinner. Only sorry I didn't buy a few for gifts. FUN!

This was the best food I had the whole time. And I even helped make it. We have recipies to attempt it at home too. It was a little pricey but I'm glad we splurged. Really we could spend that much on dinner and be done in an hour so this kept us entertained for a evening. Chef amy was friendly and fun and full of information. Neworleansonline.com had 15$ off when we booked it sk chrck that out. I recommend this.
