This courtyard is located in the French Quarter. There is a café where you can purchase food and drink. There is live music here, but the whole situation seems rather commercial to me - it is not a favorite place.

Stopped here after a morning walking about on Bourbon Street. They served up their version of a Moscow Mule with ginger beer liqueur as well as ginger beer. It was delicious !! And the live jazz in the courtyard was awesome ! Wish we could have stayed all afternoon.

While strolling Bourbon Street, we came across these statues of New Orleans music legends. Fats Domino, Al Hirt and Pete Fountain face the street as you pass. Cafe Baignet is located deep in the atrium. There was live music, as well.

We always stop here to listen to the music as we stroll down Bourbon Street. I like to take pictures with the bronze statues at the front. It's nice to have a place to sit, too. There are beignets and drinks to purchase here. It's just a nice place for a break in the action.

Drop by this Bourbon Street park in the evening and hear live music for free. Steamboat Willie usually entertains, but when he is out of town, more talent comes in. Get a drink or some beignets and relax.

Nice live music and free seating. There is also a bar and a place that sells local delicacies such as beignets, etc... We sat here for a couple of hours just enjoying the music. From speaking to locals, it seems you never know who'll be playing: either up and coming bands or retired musical legends. Visiting the park makes for... More

In our 3 days wandering the French Quarter, we ended up in this pleasant open air courtyard every day. Morning coffee with a good live band. Afternoon drinks with yet another live band, and evening nightcaps to hear the headliner, Steamboat Willie....not to be missed. We tried the takeout food for snacks one night, offered but Cafe Beignet. Once was... More

This park is an excellent tribute to some famous musicians. It is not that impressive, but a thoughtful shout out to what makes New Orleans great and a big part of that is music.

This park (atrium) has existed for years, but the addition of almost life size statues adds a little history to the walk around the Quarter, on Bourbon Street.

We enjoyed the music and food, the open courtyard was delightful on a warm day, and the drinks were good.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
