We had a guide who had lived here all his life, and was a reporter before retirement. The history was fascinating! We got to sample a number of items in different restaurants. Food was ok but history was wonderful!

I went along on the food tour because it's what my friend wanted to do and it ended up being one of my favorite parts of our trip to New Orleans. Our tour director, Richard Crawford was a wonderful guide, gave us lots of good and interesting tidbits about not only New Orleans food, but the city itself. He's a... More

This tour was awful. First, our tour guide didn't check tickets so people were there that were scheduled for the next day leaving us without enough food at the first stop. The first stop did not have enough seating for us and the tour guide had to be reminded by me that we were supposed to have bread pudding on... More

As Director of Operations for Tastebud Tours, I read each review with interest. I read yours, and was disappointed we didn’t meet your expectations. I well remember the incident you recount. Our guide did check tickets, but one group had bought tickets through a third-party vendor. The guide wasn't familiar with the ticket that vendor used, so she called me... More

Our guide was extremely informative, not just about the history of the food, but about New Orleans as well. Definitely well worth the money spent. Do not miss an opportunity to take this tour.

Had a great tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Not too much walking and not too much food. Just a great selection of NOLA classics

Started our vacation in New Orleans with the Tastebud food tour and found this a great way to get familiar with the French Quarter. Enjoyed all the foods we got to taste and were definitely full afterwards.

The guide was very informative and easy going. Although it was a brisk day, we still enjoyed the tour. The food was great too! Would recommend for sure!

Our lovely guide, Linda, was great. Originally from New York, she has been a NOLA resident for a long time and spent a lot of time learning about it - probably better than native New Orleanians. It poured rain the first 2/3 of the tour, but she valiantly led us through it. Unfortunately, the company (headquartered in Illinois, I believe)... More

I highly recommend Bruce's tour - what a great way to spend a few hours! We enjoyed learning more about the French Quarter and how local foods and flavors evolved, and our restaurant stops were very good. Red beans & rice, gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp & grits, poboy and pralines were all excellent! Between stops, we also learned more about the... More
