We've been to NOLA several times, but this was our first time on the Creole Queen. We were not disappointed! It was a unique experience that was fun, educational, and scenic. We did not do the meal, but purchased red beans and rice a la...More

It is a truism of dining that food quality and value are in reverse proportion to how wonderful the venue is where they are served. Revolving restaurants atop towers, and paddlewheel boats don't need to have great food --- good is more than good enough....More

Gotta have some Great Creole Food and Jazz abroad the Creole Queen! And thank you for complimenting the paddlewheel boat's staff and condition, both are very important for great service and entertainment.

Five stars for this maid of the Mississippi and its crew. Yep, it is a paddlewheeler and it is a Mississippi River cruise. Find a local coupon and you can save $10 per person. Well worth the search and really easy to find. You may...More

We took this as part of our New Orleans Thanksgiving week. It was a smoothly run tour and lovely weather that day to take it on. Our tour guide (can't remember his name) was excellent and never ran out of breath the whole time, which...More

I was in New Orleans for the Thanksgiving weekend. I had a few hours free before the 4pm football game started. The hotel concierge recommended the river cruise. It is a 2.5 hour narrated cruise & you have the option to purchase lunch in advance...More

We're not super into the very touristy activities anywhere, but this one, if it counts, is certainly worth it! Caught the last cruise of the season and enjoyed it thoroughly. Getting to ride on a paddlewheeler is worth it alone, but then add a knowledgeable...More

We celebrated Thanksgiving with a large group of friends and family on the Creole Queen and the experience was even better than expected. Two in our party had booked separately but staff accommodated quickly by combining tables so we could all be together. The meal...More

I took the historic cruise down the Mississipi River which offers beautifull views of the city plus a visit to the Chalmette battle field. The guide was very entertaining & knoweldgeable, he offered plenty of historical facts about the city of New Orleans. We also...More

We took the early cruise and sat up on the top deck so we could see both sides of the river. Wendell was our tour narrator, and he amused us before the "official tour" with his amazing knowledge of all things New Orleans. As we...More

We had a great time on the cruise and it was very relaxing to take a break from the fast paced scene in the quarter. I wish I went during a warmer time or during the day, but I still enjoyed the ride. My 3...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

I would've loved it just as much as a solo traveler. As soon as you're done eating, get a drink, head upstairs and enjoy the music as the sun goes down. Not awkward at all.
