Greg was our guide and he did an excellent job representing the company and New Orleans. This tour was about 3 hours and we got to see everything we wanted to see. A cemetery, the damaged houses, rebuilt areas, levy system and the beautiful southern homes. He even gave us a courtesy call so we knew when to expect a... More

While on a recent business trip to NO, we were looking for a city tour to fit into our busy schedule. I really wanted a walking tour, but the weather did not cooperate. The rainy weather led us to Southern Style tours for an afternoon 3-hour tour of the French quarter, garden district, 9th ward, and city park. Darren, our... More

We only had a day and wanted to see as much of New Orleans as we could, We took a 3 hour bus tour and it was great! We saw so much of New orleans in 3 hours. What made the tour was our guide and driver Greg. He made it interesting and fun. Greg has lived in New Orleans... More

Booking a city tour with this company was actually pleasant contrary to the tour itself. The tour guide was late picking us up at the hotel no apologies offered, the tour bus was completely full. The tour guide Darrin was clearly hassled and edgy. Not friendly and early on in the tour we could hear him on his cell having... More

This tour was time and money well spent! It took us to many highlights that a person new to New Orleans would enjoy seeing and hearing about. Darren was very informative and made the tour interesting and enjoyable. I enjoyed it very much!

We selected this because it was one that picked us up at our hotel. We were very pleased with both the ride out to Island and the tour itself. The boat was very comfortable and while we did not see a lot of animals because of the temperature, we did see some wild hogs that came right up to the... More

We booked this tour using a Groupon. Greg made the tour a great start to our visit to New Orleans. He covered many parts of the city, telling us many stories about the rebuilding of New Orleans after the flooding. This is a great way to get an overview on your first day. Although the carriage tours are nice, a... More

I booked through Living Social and Amy was very helpful when I called to make our reservation. The van picked us up at our hotel which was convenient. After that we went around town picking up the other customers but Greg made the pre-tour ride interesting with bits of growing up in New Orleans info. One would assume that this... More

Our driver Darren made this tour one to never forget. He hit many highlights of New Orleans: French Quarter, Congo Park, Lake Ponchartraine, cemetery, the Garden District, Warehouse district, and city park that included a stop at the Morning Call. Darren provided a lot of background history of the sights and sounds of New Orleans, he was very friendly, knowledgeable,... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
