Fun open aire market. A great place to escape from the rain! There are good deals to be had here! It was not high pressure.

This is a fun place to stroll through and find treasures. There are lots of place to eat, especially lots of fried food. A nice way to spend a few hours outdoor shopping, and then for a treat, fried dough, drinks, or even oysters.

There are so many shops you can walk about. You can buy everything you don't need. LOL. Many foods are also available as well as souvenirs.

Just ate late lunch at Louisiana pizza and walked through this place. Lots of booths that represents New Orleans. Lots of drink and food choices. Enjoy talking to the venders. Recommend this place. 👍😎

One area is food/drinks. Another area is crafts. Just nice to walk around but not that big. Jewelry and Mardi Gras items every other booth. It's an open market so it's hot during the summer.

This was my second trip to the French Market and it was less satisfying than the first. This was largely due to our 5 PM arrival time, and although the market was supposedly opened till 6 PM, many of the vendors had already closed up...More

well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Thank you ANgie for the superb review of the French Market, as well as for your terrific photographs. You look so happy it makes me want to visit. Can you provide me an idea of the crafts they have available.? Are the crafts made at home? Artisans?

No they are not hand made for that you need to go to Jackson's square which is mostly paintings but there are a few other things just go during the daylight as at night it's tarot / psychic stuff off there.
Is it open on Saturdays? I've been getting contradictory answers. Some people say it's Monday-Friday, others said it's open Saturdays. Anyone know for sure?
