Bike through the little seen parts of New Orleans with us and take a ride through the rebirth of a historical neighborhood. See not only the damage from Hurrican Katrina, but the uplifting rebuilding; and more importantly, why the neighborhood needed to survive. We'll visit the levee, learn about the musical culture, and meet Ronald Lewis, local historian and curator of the House of Dance and Feathers. Definitely an unforgettable day.

This is a fab way to see New Orleans from a completely different perspective. Our guide Leanne from the lower 9th ward was fantastic, informative and relevant. The tour starts from Washington park, through the 9th ward and back. We covered topics from the hurricane,...More

Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward,
the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely
residential. Of course, folks around here love to go
out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere
in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the
festivities, well then so much the better! Home to

I think any kid that is big enough to ride an adult bike and used to some easy biking with plenty of stops for a couple of hours would be ok with it. I think it would really depend on the kid whether or not they found it... More

On their website (can't link here), it's still $60 plus a donation at the House of Dance and Feathers and lunch and tip if you choose. They say it's an intermediate ride. You cover a lot of ground but over a lot of time. So... More

Shoot, I don't remember the price, but the ride was easy (no hills that I recall). We had to navigate thru a little traffic but it wasn't a big deal and we all stuck together.
