On the 2 plantation tour you get to experience both strengths of each plantation and what they have to offer as a narrative. Oak Alley you get to experience the grandeur of antebellum life in the 1800s on the magnificent property line with its beautiful 28 Oak trees.

The tour at the Whitney Plantation was so informative and our guide was phenomenal! I highly recommend it! The swamp tour was fun and relaxing, which was actually quite nice after the intense experience of the Plantation.

We registered with Crescent City Tour on Tripadvisor Website for a visit in French. As we were in an Air BnB, we had to be picked up at a hotel downtown. The driver arrived 40 minutes late with no appologize and we arrived at Whitney Plantation 2 minutes before the tour starts. Once on site, there wasn't any visit in French. We had to do this visit in English and we did not understand the half of what was said. Once the tour was over, we had only 15 minutes left to go to the gift shop and to the museum which is sad because I would have understand a lot more in the museum, by reading, instead during the visit. I am very desappointed because this tour seemed to be the best to learn about the slavery. I wouldn't recommande the Crescent city Tour to someone who would like to do it in French or to those who would like to take their time to learn more.

Unfortunately we drop the ball on this one. We are not making any excuses But there are so many unforeseen circumstances that can delay pick up. Especially with it being in the height of the Mardi Gras season. We also want to apologize that the French guide was not on staff this day. We know that the guess cannot see these unforeseen circumstances road closures, constructions, street blockages, and barricades do to the Mardi Gras season being upon us. But the tour was not 40 minutes late we were only 10 minutes late. Your pick up window is between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM we arrived at approximately 8:40. If we arrive 40 minutes late we would have to completely cancel the tour because all of this works by timing. I wish there were something I could do to make this up. The one thing I understand about vacations, When a company drops the ball you don’t get any do overs with this. It’s not like a storefront business. So we worked diligently to ensure that there are no mistakes. But to say we were unapologetic is inaccurate. We take full responsibility for what happened and hold ourselves accountable. So as a result we will extend you a full refund. In any event if you elect to ever come to New Orleans again your airport transportation to your hotel or Airbnb will be free of charge,If you elect to take the tour again we will also give you the tour for free with Round-trip transportation and admission. Reach out to the owner personally (504)621-2287 I am heartbroken over this incident. In my opinion there is no excuse for getting less than five stars. This day in question I did everything possible to try to make this up. We brought everybody for coffee and Beignets before the tour, After the tour we brought everybody to see the other three plantations Laura,Oak Alley and Saint Joseph for photos,We even stopped and let everyone have a 45 minute lunch at Oak Alley none of these things are included in our itinerary. So to say that we were unapologetic is false. I lose sleep over 4 star ratings. So you can imagine how this took me back. We also offered to bring you back the following day. I’m not sure what more we could have done to show our disappointment for dropping the ball. But if you think of something other than what I’ve already suggested please feel free to reach out to us. Again we are so sorry. But thank you for choosing Crescent City Tours.

The Whitney Plantation was amazing. The plantation itself and the original buildings were fascinating. The memorials were incredibly moving and made the story of slaves’ experiences real to me in a unique way. I would definitely recommend this experience. One negative our group found disappointing was the presentation by our guide. We didn’t catch his name - Ashton/Ashley perhaps? He had an amazing amount of information to share with us but spoke very quickly without pauses and without breaks. It was hard for us to understand him, and left no openings for questions. Probably would have been better to share a little less and engage with us more. Still, an amazing experience and I’m glad we visited!

Brian was an absolute delight. His knowledge and love of the city was apparent. The plantation was beautiful and I felt like we had plenty of time to walk around and see the exhibits. Would definitely recommend.
