Walked through this park from Tulane to Magazine St. Very pretty, serene with magnificent oak trees and bird island with all kinds of ducks, geese, herons, etc.

This park is right across the street from Tulane University. We went on a walk through the park after touring Tulane. Just so beautiful and peaceful

The locals told me that Audubon Park wouldn't be as impressive as the city park but I beg to differ! This park was utterly baffling! It was beautiful! A giant circle of huge oak trees, big sidewalk (great for biking), a massive golf course in...More

We enjoyed a few walks through the park. It's easy to get to from the St. Charles line streetcar, but quite a ways from Canal St.

The park is naturally beautiful with century old oak trees such as Trees of Life. However, it probably needs both a manicure and pedicure as maintenance is lacking. It could be a lot better than its current form, not unlike the city of New Orleans...More

We took the St. Charles Street car from Canal street to Audubon Park. This was a nice diversion from the French Quarter. The park has a great paved pedestrian street around the park. A good way to burn off those monring beignets.

Just lovely for a stroll. Lake filled with birds. Even if it was scorching heat outside, there was a decent amount of shade.

While it is a long bus or streetcar ride from Canal Street, it is worth it. The scenery is wonderful and the place is peaceful. There is a nice walking, jogging, and bike trail. There is an abundance of Live Oak trees and it is...More

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the
greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down
the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate
feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the
students living in the area ensure that Uptown and
Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly
fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife
