Neighbourhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

We decided to stop in ,best thing we did in NOLA.
Chicken on the bone is the house band.
They truly rock.
The staff doesn't hustle you for drinks.

We've been coming to NOLA for at least 20 years and Chicken on the bone is the best band we've seen on Bourbon Street. CLASSIC ROCK including songs like Brown Eyed Girl, All Right Now, Proud Mary, Sweet Child O Mine, Play That Funky Music White Boy, Sweet Home Alabama. We were there for at least 1 1/2 hours and they never took a break. They nailed every song. The bartender was also super friendly and I didn't mind watching her dance either. Beware though that the bathrooms are in absolutely horrible shape. The mens room actually looks like some type of bomb was detonated in the stall area. I laughed when I saw it.

We were in town for 4 nights and spent a majority of our time here for 2 of the 4 evenings! DJ was great, Emcee was hilarious and really engaged with the crowd. Such a fun bar! Need to have more bar tenders at times would be the only critique

Like many others wanting to experience Bourbon Street, we stumbled upon this place. Loved hearing "Chicken on the Bone". The lead female singer is fantastic with a wide range in her song choices and her voice. Had an excellent time people watching and dancing to their music. Will definitely be going back next trip!

Passing by and hearing classic rock made us want to go inside. There was a band called "Chicken on the Bone" which was excellent. We stayed about an hour drinking beer and listening to great music!

Definitely a good place to check out!

Had a blast in nasty fun bourbon street. Fun place. Old guys rocked the 80s rock. People watching was epic. Service was good. A go to for sure. Stumbled in and stumbled out. A lot of that going on.

We stopped in due to the really great band that we heard playing. That was the best part. The bartender was more interested in her phone than getting us something to drink. The place was almost empty, because of the bad service if I had to guess. We had one beer a piece and left after that since she didnt want get off her butt and wait on people. We never went back though we stayed just next door and hear several other great bands from outside.

We came in and the service sucked. Seemed like the bartender acted like she was being put out by having to get us drinks. Spent most her time cuddled up by the stairs on her phone. Only bottles of beer and mixed drinks. If they had more we weren't told. Only plus are the band and it's the air conditioning is the best on bourbon st.

Spent two hours at the Old Opera House on Bourbon Street and had a blast. The band was Chicken on the Bone and they were fantastic. Generous drinks and a great place to chill out to really good music.

On our first night in NOLA, we went to OOH. What a fun night! We didn't get the name of the band, but they were outta sight. They played funky music that was made for dancing. We were planning to go bar hopping, but the music was so good that we stayed at OOH. Why leave?
