You could spend half a day here just people watching. Between about 11 and 6 its full of street performers, fortune tellers, artists and musicians. Its loud and a lot of fun just to walk around in the atmosphere. A definite must see

We loved it here. There's always something going on and it gets very busy as it's the meeting point for many walking tours of the city. Try to go in the daytime and in the evening as the atmosphere is completely different.

The square with the cathedral backdrop is really pretty. You can get a few nice photos to bring back with you. It would be a lot better if it wasn't right in the middle of a bunch of panhandlers, under cared for horses, tourists, and...More

We heard some of the best music in all of New Orleans just in front of the cathedral on Jackson Square. Great place to relax, bring a lunch and enjoy.

Jackson Square is very close to many attractions including Bourbon, St. Louis Cathedral, Carriage rides, local eateries. It is also a beautiful park in the heart of the city!

You should go, but it won’t take long to admire the gardens of the square itself, then walk round the outside where there are tarot readers, artists, musicians etc. Good fun but we didn’t linger.

This is a beautiful green space. Around the outside of the park are local artist and musicians, which is a very cool vibe. There are restaurants in close proximity and carriage rides offered right outside the gates.

We enjoyed the Jackson Square area very much! There are many interesting shops, galleries, and places to eat or get a beverage (many offer alcoholic beverages to go). There are artists all around the area selling their wares. You can take a carriage tour, visit...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

The river boat cruises are about 10 min walk to Jackson Square. The GOP on bus is in the same area of cruises depending on service you use. March the weather should be pretty nice
