There are two levels to this historical structure. The first is simply the way it looks. From the sidewalk in front, it looks as though the prow of a ship is emerging from an earthen sea. The inside is equally interesting, a combination of massive stone and unexpected angles The second level is the history. Frank Lloyd Wright designed it... More

Didnt know there was an official tour. Just came in through the atrium entrance and walked through the church. Happened to meet up with the tour group. Gave them a donation but did not stay around for the tour as is was an hour long and didnt have the time. Beautiful inside and a must see for FLW lovers.

I attended a Peter Mayer Concert here and came back for a Sunday Service. Incredible building built by Frank Lloyd Wright and on the historic register. Really welcoming group of members, inspiring message and great music.

It is better to admire the outside of the building. The inside is a bit threadbare. The outside is just anawesome example of Frank's integration of a building into the site.

Twelve of us went on a tour of the Unitation Meeting House as a part of a trip to see things by FLW in the Madison area. The tour was thorough and interesting. We saw the original FLW structure inside and out and discussed its design. We also toured the two additions to the meeting house and the issues of... More

Frank Lloyd Wright was commissioned to design the Meeting House in 1946 and the congregation finished it in 1951. It is well worth a visit with many eloquent and skilled orators, musicians and choir.

I'm biased since I attended this church as a child but we found it the perfect venue for our wedding and reception. Guests from as far away as California were wowed by it. Can't beat Frank Lloyd Wright.

This famous church building, housing an active congregation to this day, introduced me to Frank Lloyd Wright--I lived just around the block for a decade. As usual, this building highlighted a recent DIY tour of Wright-influenced architecture--common around the Madison area. But one feature distracts, every visit: The impressive array of giant organ pipes next to the sanctuary window, a... More

As a Frank Lloyd Wright fan, I stopped by for a few pics. A staff person told me I could come inside and was very friendly. A lovely building and a real treasure.
