Visited yesterday on a gorgeous day with things just starting to bloom. Try to get there on a day when you can walk the grounds, but the inside area is worth the visit too. A treasure! Support with a donation if you are able.

The receptionists were very nice. We (large group of 15 people) arrived few minutes before noon and yet they allowed us into the conservatory without paying any fees (as there is this offer on Saturdays free entrance to the conservatory before noon). Though we visited in April whereby the trees and plants did not bloom yet, we had a good... More

Take your time waling around the awakening gardens. Breathe deeply and unwind. Walkk the many paths discovering what growing things can do to help you relax.

We decided to stop by for the afternoon, not expecting much to be in bloom. We were surprised to find so much to see already. I can imagine that it must be breathtaking in the summer and fall, but a sunny day in early spring was glorious as well. A great place to visit with children, with a ton of... More

My son and I visited Olbrich Botanical Gardens around the 4th of July. Since he was an excellent and knowledgeable gardener, I know he enjoyed it more than his "civilian" dad. I really liked it, too. The giant inside greenhouse was jungle-like, with hundreds of tropical plants Tommy would name for me, butterflies and birds flitting about, with little ponds... More

Great to stroll through or just sit down at a bench under a tree. Going back in different seasons give you something different to see

Title is obviously an under statement. I've been watching this garden expand and change over the past 30 years. Great examples of choices you can make for your own yard (no mow, or low maintenance). And the Thai Pavillion is breathtaking. The rose garden is always a joy. But my favorite is the herb garden! Must see. Free admission (except... More

I went there once and it was an amazing place I ever seen. It is beautiful during fall. The area is large and great collection of trees.

All seasons are a good time to visit. In the winter spending time in the tropical dome is a great way to pretend to be in the islands for an hour or so. Spring through fall, the gardens outdoors are a treat, with a wide variety of gardens from roses to rare tropicals. The Thai pavilion is a treasure. Donated... More
