This park very convenient and great! There's a nice new playground and a community garden. The park shelter is nice and there are always parties going on. There's a great fishing doc and there are lots of people walking dogs. There's also a great view of the capitol.

What a great place. You can rent a kayak, a canoe, or even a standup board if I remember correctly. If you want to learn, they will help you.

I enjoyed morning coffee at Brittingham Park, several mornings while visiting my son,who lives nearby. There are many comfy chairs to move into the shade to enjoy beautiful views of the water. I read my eBook while I drank my coffee. One day I watched kids getting fishing lessons at a day camp I watched people using kayaks, paddleboards, and paddleboats and numerous walkers and joggers. This was a great way to start the day! Madison can be proud of this beautiful park.

Took off from here kayaking with my girlfriend, nice area. Bikes near by. Swings are fun. Had a quick picnic here before we left Madison. Nice place.

The park has picnic tables, a shelter, spacious place for games, has a walking/jogging path. Not to far from the Capital.

Brittingham is a beautiful park right on Lake. You can rent paddleboards and other water gear at the rental place. It does have a large shelter but it is not kept up very well. I know that they are building a new playground there for wheelchair and special accessibility.

My family and I come here at least every other week to rent kayaks/paddle boards/paddle boats. No motor boats here. They have created a nice hang out space with chairs though we usually just head to the boat dock. Sometimes we just hang out in the small bay and other times we head out to Lake Monona for good views of the capital and for more exercise. You can easily head out for an hour or go out for all day paddle around Lake Monona. Lake Monona does have motor boats on it but usually it's not too crowded. We enjoy getting some waves now and then as the boats pass. If you are a little more adventurous jump in the water off your paddle board (or get the sit up on version of the kayaks so you can get easily in and out). The water is a bit cool but on a hot day it is refreshing. Madison does not have great beaches to it's a nice way to get into the water.

Used to be a good place to watch water ski competitions... Hmm, that was in the early 70's. Lots to offer for a nice Park on Monona Bay!

There have been some good improvements here over the last couple years. The area around it has what look like very nice higher end apartments so the whole area has really been upgraded. Being on the Bay it is a good place to try out paddle boards and kayaks. And going out into Lake Monona gives you hours of boating opportunity. A small park but very pleasant.

beautiful views, but the crowds of college students playing frisbee and volleyball made it really hard to find a parking space. The playground equipment is old and pretty outdated, also some safety features missing especially if you have a toddler.

Does the park take credit for kayak rentals?
