nice for sunset

Drove to the sunset trail a little too late to try and walk the trail so we drove to the trail head and stayed until completely dark. Very pretty and peacefull.

Loved our experience at the Mountain Tower this past weekend. The views were amazing from the top of the tower....recommend a jacket and a rubber band if you have long hair...it is windy. The second level is filled with information on the history of Hot Springs which was really interesting.

Hiked on Hot Springs Mountain on 10/09/16. Started @ the Dead Chief Trailhead @ the Army & Navy Hospital. Trail was steep @ the beginning but then became less challenging. Then crossed over to the Hot Springs Mountain Trail via the Gulpha Gorge Trail. Took the Shortcut Trail back to the Dead Chief Trail & then back to where we... More

One of the unique things about hot springs national park is that most of it is accessible by car, not just hiking. This 3ish mile drive provides good views of the city and bath house row. Bring some food and stop at one of several picnic spots.

If you are in Hot Springs, you must go up the mountain. There is an observation tower that is a must see trip. You can see all of the area from the top. One of the best things in Hot Springs.

K and I wanted to let our food settle before going home so I decided to take a romantic drive up West Mountain Drive in Hot Springs. The sky was dark and the stars were out to give us direction. We stopped at several of the lookout sights and enjoyed the beauty of the mountain overlooking the city lights of... More

We drove up the mountain and paid the $7 each to go up in the tower. It was full of fun and educational facts about Hot Springs and then you could go up one more level to the outside observation deck and the views were beautiful. I can only imagine how gorgeous this is in a few weeks when the... More

Hubby and I loved the drive up to the Mountain Tower. It's a weekday in September, so it wasn't very busy and there weren't a lot of people on the trail. I like that. The tower was cool ... we shot some photos from the top level. The second level has exhibits to view. We had only about an hour... More

This road really climbs into the park area. Made for a pleasant and pretty drive. Road is good so there are no problems navigating.
