There are so many rules like cover your legs, cover your shoulder, tie your hair etc.
We respect the rules but there are no signs stating them. So as you enter the premises, people , vendors and staff starts yelling at you.
Temple is not extraordinary too

The setting of this temple is great and the view is great as well. There is a vegetarian restaurant outside the temple. we had just had our breakfast so unfortunately could not try the food there. there is a shop outside which seeks spices and tea. we were hunting for a not too commercial place to buy spices and this seemed to be a good place. Good stop for pious and not so pious people

What a lovely location for the temple. So mermerizing and peaceful. I would have loved to spend some more time there but had to catch a train. There is a small place for coffee as well at very reasonable prices. Entrance was free which was good to see after paying fees as all the other Buddhist temples in SL. Highly recommend this place.

I was lucky to visit this important place with my friend who came from south India with his family, It was a totally different experience with Hindu religious activities. Clean and neat beautiful location with the view of famous Kothmale reservoir from the temple.

Close to Ramboda Falls in Thawalanthanna on the Kandy Nuwara Eliya road. Kovila is on a small hill . There is a giant Hanuman statue. Shine is not having any historical value. Very recently built . You can go to the top of the hill in your own vehicle and there is ample parking in the top. You get small shops which sell items required for pooja , a vegetarian restaurant and souvenir shop.

If you grew up watching ramayana then a visit to this place is a must. According to legends this is the first place where Lord Hanuman landed while searching for Sita. Even though Ashok vatika(the place where seeta was kept captive) is 32 kms away from this place but still Lord Hanuman managed to spot her from that place. If you ever doubt this story just watch closely to the opposite mountain range. The sight that you will see is enough to give you goosebumps. You can see an outline of Lord Hanuman sleeping on the whole mountain range. It was exhiliarating to say the least. Its a proof that ramayana was not a story it is our history. Even if you are not a fan of mythology i would still suggest to visit this place for its scenic beauty. Also there is a jain restaurant below the temple. Try the food there, it's really tasty,

Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple is situated on Kandy-Nuwaraeliya Road at a place called Ramboda. The temple is on a small hill, with steps to climb. The Shrine of Hanuman is 18 ft high. The temple is well maintained with beautiful garden all round the temple.
The view from the temple is so natural and beautiful. We were here in the evening tine, when the Sun set was happening. The reflection of the Sun, at the time of Sunset, in the water flowing on the ground was marvelous..(Photo attached). We had spend almost a hour and a half at this place enjoying the nature and the beauty of the place.

This Hanuman Temple was just a short trekking distance away from our Villa Glenloch in Katukitula where we stayed. We did not trek to it but went by car on our return journey to our hotel from Horten’s Plain and so were very lucky that the temple was open. There is enough parking space. This temple has been constructed by the Chinmaya Mission and location is fabulous. The huge statue of Hanuman is very beautiful and impressive. There are well maintained gardens around the temple. From the temple the views of Nuwara Eliya and surrounding valleys is a sight to behold. It is very peaceful and quiet here. There is a restaurant which needless to say serves vegetarian food and we were told the food is delicious. The famous Ramboda Falls are nearby.

We clubbed this temple visit with Ramboda Falls - it took us an hour and half from Nuwara Eliya but we were not disappointed. The temple run by the Chinmaya Trust is closed from 12.30 to 3pm. However we took the time to have a gorgeous meal at Annapurni - a South Indian vegetarian restaurant within the temple premises. The views of two large reservoirs down the valley were spectacular. The temple in itself is pretty simple and not crowded - all in all made up for an enjoyable trip.

Hi - how long is the journey from Colombo to Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple?
Written 2 December 2018
It is at Ramboda on way to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy. Thus from Colombo it will be about 4-5 hours, but nearer to Kandy. We saw this first , then had a visit to Tea factory and then to Sita Temple before reaching Nuwara Eliya for night halt which is a hill station.

Can an elderly person with walking disability using a walking stick visit this temple even at a slow pace?
How long is the drive by cab from SEETA ELIYA?
Written 27 February 2018
Roads reach to about as near as the temple but the last 50 stairs surely need to be climbed, no alternative to that. So I would suggest to avoid it for the person with disability.

What are the temple timings ? I will be driving from Kandy to Nuwara eliya late afternoon . Should i start early to see temple or visit Nuwara eliya first and visit the temple next day morning .

I advise you start early and break for Lunch at Bhakta Hanuman Temple. There is an awesome Vegetarian restaurant Annapurni there. You can then also cover Tea Gardens and tea factory enroute to Nuvvara Eliya and reach by evening.
