Follow Herbert Hoover's life from humble beginnings to the presidency. Many of his accomplishments are on display here. There is a movie of about 20 minutes that is a must see. Herbert Hoover and his beloved wife Lou, are also buried here.

Was staying In Iowa City which is only about 10 miles west. Excellent film about what appears to be a lot of information that many people don’t know about. Very informative and worth the stop

The name Herbert Hoover has a stigma attached to it. As in life this is very unfair. At this top notch museum we learn how he warned Calvin Coolidge many times about the over speculation in the stock market. He could see it coming, unfortunately...More

This is small museum which gives a reasonably unbiased review of Herbert Hoover's presidency - though understandably somewhat light on his treatment of the Bonus Marchers. At the end of the exhibits they ask your opinion of Hoover's presidency and whatever answer you give they'll...More

Yes. The Library is right in town, is if not in the parking lot, which is quite large, it is only a very short walk from downtown. Definitely worth a visit, as it is a very well done Library.

Margaret Hoover visits the Museum several times a year, she does not do specific speaking engagements but often participates in the annual celebration the first weekend in August.
