We went here during the really heavy rains, but it was still worth the drive. There’s not really much to see other than the huge statue, but it really is quite a sight.

They have a little store at the bottom of the steps where you can buy some refreshments or some quick souvenirs, but not something you can’t already find somewhere else in Bali.

Small temple, beautiful garden and the impressing statue of the sleeping Buddha. Small renovation taken place. It is a very quiet and silent place, not many tourists so if you like quiet place this is recommendable

I have always felt welcomed by the people of Bali and their acceptance is shown by their generosity of the hart and the acceptance of all religions. This Buddhist temple is no differant, like other Buddhist temples it has an Hindu infulerance but is obviously Buddhist. The time spent ther was more than worth while, enjoying the serenity & beauty.

What a wonderful unexpected Buddhist temple complex in the middle of Bali. About 2.5 hours by car from Kuta is this magnificent White Lying Buddha. A donation is required for entry. There are a number of steps to gain access to the highest part of the complex.

I can highly recommend taking a day trip to see this temple. If you plan on seeing the north coast of Bali then you can go via this location and continue on the main road to the coast. The views are wonderful. Make your trip back along a different route from Singaraja through Bedugal. Many wonderful sites along the way.

We have a friend who made a tour with us and we went to the vihara dharma giri from canggu. it needde around 2 hours to go there by car. we arrived there and there where just few people around so we had the whole temple place for our own. nice and clean and quite place with an restaurant. unfortunately it was closed but the small shop besides was open. entry is free but you can donate something. really beautiful place but not so big. so if you want to do a tour make sure there are some things around. on the way are some riceterrasses which are really beautiful too

A very peaceful and serene atmosphere in this small Buddhist temple and monastery, where one monk resides for three months a year. The large white reclining buddha was impressive and the grounds beautiful and well kept. We were not allowed to enter the temple, only look through the door. It is worth a stop if you are in the area. The road there from Lovina has some beautiful sceneries with rice terasses.

We went there on the way from visiting a friend in Pupuan and there were hardly any tourist. This Buddhist temple is open to everyone and any amount of donation is welcome. You can come just to walk around and take a photo as well as praying.

The giant sleeping Buddha statue seems to be the main attraction and rightfully so. The Mount Batu Karu is well visible in the background and showing the tolerance of the people of Bali. The rest of the architecture is a mixed of Balinese and Budhism. Worth visiting when you are in the area.

Note that you are required to take off your sandals/shoes/socks in some of the areas of the temple.

I didn't find Vihara Dharma Giri of Tabanan on any tourist brochure / info. Which was very unique as Bali tourist sites go. This place is a little bit off the tourist map. We really loved the buddhist temple. There is a big white statue leaning on one of the temple and ther eis the golden statue inside the temple. It is really a nice place to visit and worth a visit.

I learned about this temple from a nice TripAdvisor reviewer! I hadn't seen it listed otherwise in any Balinese guidebooks or visitors website. It is pretty far north so if you're going to visit, give yourself time to get there from the south. The admission is based on a donation request of your choice. This is a Buddhist temple and there is beautiful resting Buddha statue that is picturesque and a peaceful site in the mountains. We were able to take beautiful photos. The temple itself is pretty to visit. It is quiet, peaceful, and well maintained. There was no other tourists when we visited so it was nice to feel like we had the place to ourselves to explore as well. This is a nice, scenic temple to visit that I recommend if you're interested in touring a bit in the north.
