Incredible Tour....

This tour was amazing!

The snorkelling was incredible...I saw all types of tropical fish, turtles and coral. The surrounding landscape of Java and its volcanic mountains make for a surreal backdrop.

I would highly recommend Idris as a guide. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the area. A true local!

Snorkelling at Menjengan with Idris

Snorkelling at Menjangan Island in Dec 2022. Awesome visibility - even tho it's the rainy season. Squid, black tip shark, box fish, puffer fish, trumpet fish, turtles (3 sightings in the morning). endless amounts of colourful reef fish. Walls of coral, coral gardens and more! Join with the best guide in the region - Idris +62 823 4018 5768. Contact him by WhatsApp and book early as he's very popular. He'll arrange everything - the boat, lunch, snorkel & fins - and guide you along the best parts of the island. Also, the island is very relaxing, with some of the region's gorgeous birds and wild deer.

You need some effort to reach this part of Bali but it's worth it! Stunning volcano views with 3 in the area.

Ganesha,deer,snorkelling

revisited here when i had a short trip to north bali in september.this time i stayed in pemuteran, and i had a snorkelling trip to deer island again.it was arranged by the guesthouse i stayed.this time i think the water much more clearer,fishes also more than last time,maybe everything become better during the pandemic?hope it can be continued.we had lunch on the beach.then we saw a deer approached to us.some people gave it food,but actually it is prohibited. after lunch,i had a short walk on the island.but not very deeper,cuz limited time. when we left the island,i saw a giant Ganesha statue on the cliff,and i saw a temple there also.impressed with it,hope one day i can go to the island and stay more longer.the guide putu very helpful,not only took pics ,but also take care of me.a very warm memory,will come again,hope can see many deers on deer island.

Diving and Relaxing on a boat

Diving there is really beautiful, there are great spots all around the island. I must say, my favorite was eel garden.

Good spot for picture and snorkeling

We went to this spot using a boat package from Grand Watu Dodol, Banyuwangi. The cost was Rp. 2.000.000,- including lunch box. First we visited Menjangan Island, but we didn't explore the island to find deer. We only took picture at the port and on the white sand cape near the port. The view was beautiful.

Then we back to the boat to continue the trip to the first snorkeling spot around 5 minutes from port. There are many kind of fish and corals. Then we continue to the second spot, the famous trench. It has different fish and coral compare to the first spot. There was under sea caves here that we can enter and swim in, and get out at the other end of the cave. But you must have long breath. The caves length around 9 m and 16 m.

Then we continue the trip and saw a bat cave on the cliff. Before back we saw the Ganesha Temple with the big white elephant sculpture. But we could only see from the boat. A nice object for picture.

visited here many years ago,that time i stayed at Pemuteran village,last year November, i visited bali again, and stayed at Pejarakan, i joined a snorkelling tour arranged by my homestay owner.i found that the underwater scene not as great as the first time i seen,but maybe i am wrong,cuz the first time impression normally deeper than the second time.hope not changed because of pollution or something like that. anyway, this time i had chance to land on the island,and had a short walk there.the guide pointed me there's a deer close to the pier,it was skinny,but not shy.heard that if you lucky enough,then you can meet them,oh,i am lucky!hehe,so had some pics of it.during November,the island very dry.of course that time very hot,i visited some local temples there,also found some deers beside a small temple.due to limited time,i cant stay longer,if have chance ,next time i want to stay more longer, and walk around the island.will be back for sure.

Very nice for diving, many fish, beautiful corals and big spounges. We went there with very nice local fishing boats. The atmosphere is very privat.

There some spot in the island are dirty, there are still many people littering.
But this is one of the best snorkling spot in Indonesia.

The island itself has no facilities other than a toilet, however the snorkelling was magical. Going along the reef with that massive crevice was incredible. Deer inhabit the island and like to come out to say hello.
