Wonderful tour of a beautiful mansion! The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the home and the families who owned it. He even played a song on the original organ. Over 90% of all the furnishings are original to the home! And...More

One of the greatest accomplishments of the Bingham-Waggoner is that we are almost 100% volunteer operated. All of the Guides attempt to portray the B-W as what it is - a fantastic historic residence. We're so glad you enjoyed being here and that you took...More

This was a excellent experience! My 16 year old son had requested we tour this home and I am so glad we did. The home is furnished beautifully, with 90% of the items dating to the year 1900. Our tour guide, Steve, was full of...More

Excellent experience great guided tour house is virtually the same as when the people lived in it in the late 1800s to early 1900s. You can touch and sit on most all the furniture and play the piano excellent experience

We value originality at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate, which was practically put in our laps. It has always been our pleasure to showcase it. Thank you for appreciating this gem!

We really, really enjoyed this tour! We have been in many old homes, but on this tour you could actually touch items and sit on furniture. A beautiful home and had many modern things for a home of that time period (walk-in ref, inter-com system)....More

This is one of the most beautifully restored homes we've seen in our 2 years of travel around the country. This 1900 era Victorian gem contains mostly original furnishings and great effort has been made by its historical society and the city to keep it...More

I loved visiting this mansion because you can feel right at home. You can sit in an old chair, walk on the carpets and listen to an amazing music box. Because this home has 90% of the original contents, it's truly a history lesson. The...More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! The Bingham-Waggoner Estate is not a red velvet rope facility. Therefore, we're hopeful all of our guests feel comfortable and at home in our environment. The degree of originality in the house is almost unheard...More

Docent was excellent and one gets a feeling of the time and the people. This is an elegant house with many of original pieces of furniture. I did not know who George Caleb Bingham before this trip to Independence. How much I don't know!
