President Harry S Truman took America from its traditional isolationism into the age of international involvement. Despite his power, he never forgot where he came from. Today, visitors can experience the surroundings Truman knew as a young man of modest ambition through his political career and final years as a former president.

If you have children, they can earn their junior ranger badge. They have a great visitor center and loved my individual tour of the home.

This is a short tour of the house that Harry S. Truman lived in before and after he was president. It was actually his wife's family home. Very interesting facts about the President's personal life. I very much enjoyed it.

We always enjoy going to see the homes of our past presidents, and see how they lived. The home was very modest, the park ranger was very enlightening.

The house is simple and practical. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. House is just as it was when Bess died. Pictures are not allowed inside. Some famous people sat in the living room.
