If you have not taken a tour of a historical mansion, this is as good as any. There is quite a bit of history to be told by a guide, which probably makes it more interesting. I went with an Independence native who had been...More

If you are in the Kansas City area during the Christmas season, this is a must. Every year the theme and decorations are different.

This was my 2nd visit to the Vaile Mansion. Home was beautifully decorated. I would recommend going at an off peak time as our tour was very disjointed and incomplete due to various tours going on at the same time. Also, the tour guides had...More

Very beautiful. I heard about this place with the many themed rooms and had to see it. A co-worker from the Center Point hospital said she worked there during holiday season. Simply put, Beautiful.

This spooky looking mansion is full of interesting architectural features and the guided tour gives a comprehensive history of both the family that built it and the special features that make it unique. $6 for entry and tour; $5 for seniors.

Beautifully decorated house and Don gave a very extensive tour. Even played the organ for us. Recommend to all that like victorian homes.

Very casual tour of home while being told of the unique family that occupied it and what became of it in the next century. I attended during the free museum day but it is very reasonable price and only lasted 50 minutes or so. Gift...More

As many times as I’ve driven by, I never stopped and did the tour. It was well worth a couple bucks. The guy leading the tour had been an ambulance driver in the area back in the 1960s. He had some very unique stories to...More

Pictures are welcome to be taken on the tour, just be sure to let your guide know so we can make sure that other guests or ourselves don't accidentally get in the way of your pictures, please.
