The Truman Library did a very good job pat providing an understanding of who Harry Truman the man was and the pivital time in which he became the president of United States. I did not know a lot about Harry Truman since I was born in the 1960s. I found this library very interesting.

Beautiful facility. We are here for the boy scout merit badge classes. Really enjoyed the tour. A more comfortable waiting area for when the boys are in class would be a plus.

President Harry Truman dealt with momentous issues during his Presidency -- use of the atomic bomb, the beginning of the Cold War, the Berlin Airlift, Soviet oppression in Eastern Europe, the Korean War and more. The Truman Museum does an excellent job of exploring Truman's early life and his eventual ascendancy to the Presidency through a 20-minute film as one... More

This is what a presidential library should be. Elegant without being pretentious, informative without overwhelming, awe-inspiring while demonstrating his humanity. Priced right. Friendly and helpful staff. Watch the introductory movie. Restrooms are downstairs. In the room about the Marshall Plan be sure to look up.

The Harry S. Truman Library is well worth a visit. I learned so much about a man that I knew little about. The library is well laid out and easy to manage. There was a special exhibit on the Bill of Rights that added to the visit. It is suggested to allow two hours, but we spent three hours and... More

The HST Library & Museum was well worth a visit while traveling in the Kansas City area (it's only about 10 miles outside the city and easily accessible via highways). I learned a lot at the museum about President Truman that I didn't previously know. The grounds contain his grave along with that of his wife, daughter & son-in-law.

We spent an entire morning/afternoon touring the library and museum. It was interesting to see the correlation between Truman's run for reelection and the primaries taking place in 2016. It was amazing to learn of all the decisions Truman made and the things he did as president during his 2 terms.

The museum is very well done. There are many exhibits, including interactive exhibits. The films were interesting. The pictures were fun to look at. It's amazing to think how many decisions Truman had to make in a short time that still affect today. Very interesting.

The facility, artifacts, and presentation are outstanding and not to be missed by anyone remotely interested in history, particularly presidential history. It conveys a great understanding of the difficult period during which he was president with the ending of WW2, the Korean War, and the beginning of the Cold War. It also has on exhibit some very interesting papers, once... More
