I would never ever visit this place again. I suffered from food poisoning after ordering the grilled squid. At first I thought it tasted weird due to its freshness, but in fact it was contamination.

It takes a lot for me to be this critical, but the service was terrible and so uncomfortable. Also, overpriced drinks compared to the establishments right next door. After we ordered, the waiter asked us a series of questions (where we’re from, how long we’re staying, etc.) but just gave blank stares in response to everything we said until he finally reached his ultimate goal of asking if we needed a taxi sometime. We said no but he insisted again later anyway. I don’t mind being asked straight-forwardly, but I’d rather not have our time wasted with fake conversations since it was clear he only cared about selling us on taxis. He also only addressed my boyfriend and ignored me and made an uncomfortable comment about me to my boyfriend. We haven’t experienced anything like this anywhere else and it was super unpleasant.

A cool place to drink cocktails on the beach.
Reggae music with the sound of the sea in the background.

The restaurant has a good selection of drinks/cocktails. The bottle of beer was all we wanted, we had enjoyable time at the beach. Would be good if they had some chips for a snack. The man that worked there was really enjoying himself too;) the beanbags at the beach are a bit small, for me they were fine, but my boyfriend had his legs at the sand (which is not too bad)

Last year, we found this amazing looking, with great music, food... but this year, EVERYTHING changed, the customer service is terrible, food was either cold or disgusting. We were the only people in the restaurant and they failed the order because they don’t speak English properly.
Once we wanted to leave, we were polite and asked for the bill to pay. Once we paid, the manager didn’t give us back the change, we said ok it’s only 25k rupiah, but once we leaved he told us we were bad people and wish us bad karma. Please this restaurant doesn’t deserve to be in Amed.

Deadly cocktails, great location, amazing live music. We had many good times here. Try the pina colada, it's got kick to it.

Couldn’t stay too long as the live music was so terribly loud. While the music was great from afar, it really set off my tinnitus and I had to make a quick exit. Amed is a quiet series of villages on the East coast of Bali, renowned for diving, not doof doof music. This bar just doesn’t gel with the area, would be more suitable in Kuta. Can it be relocated ASAP?

We went there on a Sunday and there was a reggae band playing from 8pm. It was really pleasant, they also played some original Indonesian music which was great. The place is right on the beach and very cosy. The server were very kind and attentive. We ate grilled fish with spicy balanese sauce and grilled calamari - delicious!!!

Only good thing is the location... unfortunately the food was terrible: watery (see pic) and unflavored chicken curry & slacky spring rolls

The food and atmosphere was one of the best we encountered in Amed. Rusty is the owner and very friendly. I must comment on the previous comment with respect to his pet monkey Sharby. Though I am not usually a fan of pet monkeys, Rusty shows genuine love for Sharby and Sharby also shows genuine love for Rusty. It is obvious that this relationship is one of mutual affection.

The food is truly wonderful, in fact we ordered the roast pif (one day in advance) and were most please to dine on the beach. It was delicious. We also tried the Mahi Mahi (a locally caught fish) and the Tuna.

Our favourite place in our time in Amed. Thank you to Rusty, Sharby and his staff
