Fun stop

Don’t know if this is the exact place but as you drive through the town of Sibetan is several Sallat (snake fruit) farms. We walked through the groves a bit and then had tje farmer gave us several varieties to try which were new to us. Much more delicious than from the markets in Java.

Sibetan view point

Sibetan is localized between Karangasem and Besakih, after view points you can also witness the Balinese sallack plantation in this place. Rice terraces also near by in Sidemen.

If you interesting of culture and friendly balian people, just ask Bagush for stay in his house) People in the Village very friendly and authentic and no tourists around! This is true Bali, i think.

Great Nature and Culture

Sibetan village located in the Bebandem district , Karangasem regency. The village has a stretch salak about 60 percent of the dry land area , 30 percent of rice field and about 10 percent of the population housing.

Many interesting things you can watch here. You can see a beautiful view of the hills. You can trekking at the Salak garden and you can see there are about 10 varieties of Salak Bali growing spread in the middle of the estate.

There are some interesting packages that you can encounter in the Sibetan Village, conducted by Bali Sibetan Volunteer and Learning Center, there are : Trekking Agro Abian Salak, Trekking ricefield, Blessing, Batik Painting and many more programs.

Do not miss this opportunity, come visit Sibetan Village.

Delicious snake fruits

I was welcomed by the majestic sight of Mt. Agung, slightly cowering in respect, for it is still an active volcano, as I drove into the village. The last time it erupted, it stopped agriculture in the surrounding lands. However, the snake fruit managed to survive and it is still cultivated today. I watched the farmers go about their work, plucking and harvesting those delicious snake fruits while the cool atmosphere hung overhead. Sibetan is a village which is still traditional in its ways and still beautiful in its appeal.
