Beautiful scenery however tonnes of rubbish. Everywhere!
You literally step out of your car onto bottles, plastic and cans.
Be prepared to pay for the entrance and also for parking.
I don’t mind paying and usually I am happy to support locals but here I feel they could have done better and make a bit of effort with cleaning.
Very disappointing

Beautiful white sandy beach. You have to pay on the road to access it to ensure its cleanliness. Private concessions offer very practical but expensive sun loungers with umbrella. Free WiFi and shower.
In total count 10 euros plus taxi.
It's a little paradise for tourists.

Went today with family and friends and definitely worth the visit.
The sand not as white as usual no doubt due to recent heavy rains so the local kepala desa I am sure will remedy.
The water as clear as ever.
Massages great value @100,000 idr. Even reflexology by a gentleman in a funny hat. Not expensive.
Sofas only 25000 idr per day. A must.
Cold drinks and snacks available.
Finally great views coming and going.
We stop at Jepun Bali the first of a few establishments at White Beach.
Regards Pete and Chrissie.

Make sure you visit Waring Gusti! The people that work there are very nice! The young woman and her Husband and brother are very good to deal with. We had a lot of laughs with her! Food was good and beer was cold. They will look after you! Tell them hi from Jim and Bonnie!

Beautiful sandy beach, quiet and peaceful. Water prefect blue. All the warung offer delicious simple but fresh food. I stuck in Warung Queen Beach cause it's very clean, always super fresh fish and very nice owners.
You can rent small fishermen boat for fishing or just going around small island in front of the beach
2 ways to go down to the beach: via Prasi village - small trekking from parking place and via Bug Bug village with stunning views from top.
Both ways 10.000 rp entrance ticket.

The most amazing clear water. Hired an umbrella & 2 deck chairs. Stayed for about 3 hours. Absolutely loved it. Great little cafe to purchase food. Delicious! Absolutely loved it.

Second visit and enjoyed as much as the first. Beautiful beach. Fun ,friendly workers on the beach. Lovely good . Sad to see it so quiet ,but am sure things will improve for the locals soon. Do yourself a favour ,go have a look. It's a bit of a drive from main Bali areas. ,around 2 hours , worth it.

The serene scenery and especially after the feeling you're already lost going to this beach, is worthy. To use scooter with 2 persons on it is not really adviseable, but still can do thing. Better then with 4WD or one with high clearance. The beach is the whitest one kkkk... along the east coast of Bali, second is Blue lagoon. Divided in two sections, one for chilling (ohhh with those expensive cafes for drinks, but food priced quite normal) and other reserved for Fishermen village - which is good.
The water feels really good, small wind and afternoon time the waves got higher.
No music from cafes (suppa kool), and you get free reclyning chair + umbrella if you order something from the cafes. Lot of them. Just go to the next cafe if one ask you to pay for the chairs :)
I spent half day long from 11am-5pm. Reading, jumping to water, chilling back, taking a nap, strolling along the beach (+/- 1km long) and repeating the ritual from the start again kkkk. Ahhh there are some hidden caves too. Villagers use to collect the swallow's nest inside.
Massage service, and street sellers are just few, polite and not so pushy. Not like in Kuta.
I would definitely go back again just to do the routine above kkkk.

Went on a roadtrip around the island and decided to check it out based on an internet research. Got there towards the end of the day, which is good cause was swamped tourists and not so appealing. Hunted around for a good deal on beer and the place roughly in the middle of the pack offered me a discount from the advertised price. The rest were snotty and not very pleasant. These guys were really pleasant and obliging. As the day was winding down they said I should order up, I called my friends, we ordered, and then they said we could order more for the evening and sleep in their joint, but would have to pay $1 each to go to the village for beach security. They also sold us magic mushrooms for ten bucks a gram, legal on the island. The sleeping consisted of 5cm thick comfortable mattresses for their sunbathing chairs, which could stretch out flat, so absolutely perfect and no mosquitoes. We moved out a table with provided candles to the middle of the beach and finished our meal the only ones there. I did not see any cigarette butts like one comment posted. It was already perfect, but then the magic started. Not only was it a fully starlit night, but once it got dark enough, the ocean became starlit as some sort of fluorescent specks floated on the increasingly turbulent ocean, washing up and lighting the shore as we danced through it. Later still the waves got really big and unpredictable in the bay on the left hand side and I could understand their warning not to swim at night because it is very dangerous. Nothing too spectacular in the day, but the night is possibly the best travel experience I have ever had, traveling now full time for more than 8 years.

Hi, just curious about southern access, does it have any stairs or steep path? Trying to find a beach to take my elderly mum, thanks

You can see the last set of stairs in the 3rd photo of my review at the top of the pic.

Is this beach easy to access from the car park? We are thinking about spending a day here but will have my elderly parents with us. One cannot walk far and has some mobility issues. Thanks for any input and information.
Written 23 February 2019
Nope you can’t, it’s a long walk down

Is there surfing on this beach? If so, are there boards available for rent? Thank you in advance.
Written 7 September 2018

Can aged people visit this beach? Is this beach accessible through steps? Approximately how many steps are there?
Written 23 August 2017
Depends on how fit they are. It's a 5 to 10 minute walk down from the parking area via a rather bad road. No steps but not ideal if you have bad legs or walk with a stick... BUT the locals provide a scooter taxi up and down that road.
Written 24 August 2017
We went there on a scooter and some young men wanted us to pay them to park there, it wasn't a small fee either. Paying to park a scooter? Is that legit or a scam? It was crazy business for us as we just scooted off to a 'free' beach.
Written 3 September 2016
there is a fee to enter the village area above the beach, many places in Bali have this as the village has to maintain the roads but we did not pay to park
