An impressive bridge to see on the outskirts of the city which goes across Ambon bay. It's not attraction to go out of your way to visit unless you have a particular interest in bridges. It can bee seen however from different parts of the bay.

It used to take more than 1.5 hour travelling from the city to the Patimura airport before this bridge is built. But now, it takes less than 40 minutes you can reach the airport from the City and vise-versa. Since it is built, it directly become Ambon landmark out rank other city’s landmarks. The bridge is very beautiful with two colors of red and white, like Indonesian flag on the cables and the lights at night. If you come to Ambon, you should try to find a way to take pictures on the bridge.

Jembatan Merah Putih, a very first place to touch down the Ambon City. My friend and I enjoy to see the city from this bridge. It is around 4 KM length to connect the city of music Ambon to the Airport.
.-
We can not spend many time here cos many vehicles go through surrounding and yeah 5 till 10 minutes okay to enjoy the bridge.
For those visit Ambon, should enjoy this place Merah Putih Bridge.

The light changes color during the night. Especially on Christmas eve, the people gather on the bridge, could be so crowded. Light show is amazing around that time of the year. During normal days, people also can be seen walking or taking pictures on the bridge so be careful.

My review for this bridge
The bridge is really helpfull for me for long distance from airport area to ambon city to short distance, it means with the bridge i can more spend time my work in ambon city longer than before, because normally from ambon city to airport is around one hours, but after we have merah putih bridge from ambon city to airport just 25-30 minutes very very helpfull

A functional addition to the Ambon skyline, reaching across the bay to reduce the time taken to travel between the two parts of Ambon island. While the bridge is painted red and white (hence the name) it is not postcard material - and is a transport link rather than a tourist attraction.
