This museum is part of the Kota Garh and is quite impressive with its structure and the exhibits. Parking is free on the ground in front of it.

Missed this place whenever this city was visited in the past. Unlike mostly other forts and palaces of Rajasthan, this structure is on ground and not perched atop a hill. The beauty is the river flowing by its side. A part of the structure is well maintained and converted to a museum which is open to public and quite decent. Overall, a good place to visit in a city which doesn't boast of many tourist spot

This museum is said to be really old and has some of the ancient monuments, bit it's location is quite far from the city.

A palace in Kota Fort is converted into a museum.
Photos, collected items, weapons and so on.
Some rooms have good wall decorations.

The highlight to me was the bedroom of the Maharao.

Interesting

A lovely Museum with wonderful Paintings. However the Staff could be more friendly and the Ticketing system should be upgraded.
Maps and Modern Systems would do the Place wonders.

Situated in the old palace known as “Garh Palace”at the bank of Chambal River. The area is very quiet and clean, one can imagine himself in the past which is the rare experience and very difficult to found elsewhere. The museum has a superb collection of Rajput miniature paintings of the Kota school, exquisitesculptures, frescoes and armory. The museum also houses a rich repository of artistic items used by the Kota rulers. This museum is named after the son of first ruler of Kota. It is one of the best museum of Rajasthan.
The armory section of the museum is sure going to intimidate you with its fine collection of the weapons and amours of the Rajputs. The vintage era knives, stainless swords, pistols, rifles etc are some of the best collections of the armaments of the Kota Rajput rulers. The royal Rajput families of Kota have some of the most amazing belongings which in today's era are priceless.
The museum can be visited from 10:00am to 4:30pm, on all days of the week.
Fee – INR 30 without camera, INR 80 with camera.
Additional INR 200 if you wish to see personal room of king with lot of stuff displayed.
