Great spot to spend 3-4 hours, specially in evening or when weather is good. There is natural beauty of rocks and ravines and waterfall.
Location is exactly where Google Maps tells you it will be. Entry fee is 105 rupee per adult, 40 per child, kids below 10 years free, and 345 for car.
Ticket is bit on high side gives absolutely lack of any amenities or tourist development. There is no drinking water or bathroom. Nothing to eat. Lots of monkeys so you better avoid taking any eatables.
Waterfall downstairs is great to spend an hour in but there are no changing facilities. Plan to carry extra pair of clothes though to enjoy the bath. Rest is just walking, sitting, and clicking pictures.
And yes, road off National Highway is pathetic to say the least.
It's bit sad because this could have been so much better. Ravine view restaurant, snacks and food counter, changing facilities, bathing clothes rental, rope way across ravine, boat ride, better road and parking, and so much more can be done to develop this as great tourist attraction.

Location: This place is near to Kota but not in the actual city. Situated at a distance of approximately 15 km from it. You can travel by car or hire a taxi to visit it.
Caution and advise:
1) Once the road branches off from the National Highway, it is in terrible condition.
2) The car goes up to a certain point. After it, the viewpoints and temple are at some altitude, so elderly people having any major problem in legs should think before going.
3) Mobile signals are not there.
4) Water bottle mandatory to be carried. After climbing an ascending path for getting mesmerizing views and a descending path to visit the temple, you will be definitely thirsty.
5) No near by shops, washrooms etc.
If the above things are taken care then this place is TRULY AWESOME to visit.
Key Points:
-Extra discounts on tickets with valid students ID. Please carry the physical ID proof.
-Amazing view of Chambal river with birds flying over it. Can relax in lot of PEACE.
-Easily shoot good PICTURES with nature as many beautiful spots available.
-Good place for group of young people, family or couples.
-2 to 3 hours can be easily spent here.
-Perfect picnic spot. Carry food, snacks etc.
-Monkeys are there all around. But no need to worry as they don't snatch anything.
-Reach the Lord Shiva Temple shrine by descending a few steps.
-Don't miss to see the parrots & peacocks near the temple.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE:
I went to this lovely place with my cousins in march end when the summer started but still the views were mesmerizing. Don't know how much more beautiful it would be in monsoon with lush greenery that time:-)
In Kota you can't expect a wonderful place like this. Its simply the BEST Sightseeing place over there!!

Did I like this place ? Hell yes, this is one of the best memories I have. What a place, what a view ... and lots of Monkeys around :)
Just to remember that you try to reach before 5 pm to get entry otherwise doors will be closed. You need to enter this place by 4 pm (winter season) ..and come out by 6
its about 5 km inside from the main excellent highway (Kota to Chittorgarh) , but maintained by the forest department (with their own rules and regulations to follow).
But what a view, what a place it is.

This place can't be described in words. You can't feel the enigma of this place until you yourself have been there. Stunning view of Chambal Valley taking U-turn. Only drawback is heavy charges to enter this place. 3adults with car will coat you more than 500₹ which is far much if compared to amenities.

Great larger than life view, something than normal cameras can’t capture. Beautiful to look at Chambal river taking a ‘U’ turn literally. So if you are visiting Kota or bundi this is a must visit view point. There is a nice old temple too jst a few steps down the rocks. Worth the effort.
A point where you can sit for hours glacing at the marvel of nature and wonder how small we are.

tracking down to temple is about fifty odd Rocky steps.. not so easy for senior citizens. I think it's safe. I have been to this place only once..

Is this place good to visit in the month of April? What are the opening hours?

the temple is now part of a planned tiger reserve. only time restrictions can be from the forest department side.
you should understand that the place is open with less cover. the greenery is there as Chambal river is ever green. sun is one aspect which you have to cater for. if you are carrying umbrellas or some stuff for shade, then it is fine. avoid noon hours and try to carry some snacks to sit under the limited number of trees and eat.
beware of the monkeys.
I was planning to go by public transport as suggested by many and gonna visit this place on 20jan. Is it safe to walk alone from highway to temple or is there any risk going there?? What would be best way and timing?

c. Walk towards the left as indicated on the board after 20min of walk, Turn right and walk for 7min and you will spot a forest office.
d. Take your ticket from here. Rs. 75 and for Student Rs. 20
e. From here the Garadia Mahadev temple is 20 min walk and you will finally reach you destination.
Private Vehicle(24km from Kota):
a. It is situated on the NH -76 highway that leads to Dabi and Chittorgarh.

Yes
There's ample parking.
We visited in December last week and didn't pay any parking fees. There were lots of people picnicking there too.
The vehicles easily reach upto the place seen in my pics.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
Are autos available for this place? Also how much I have to pay for the ride?

Local autos are not available. You can explore Ola cabs services. if you want to use public transport, better take a bus from Kota going towards Dabi or Bhilwara and get down on the main road at around 15 KMs, where they have shown the way towards the location. The direction board is quite visible from the main road. This place is 1.5 km from main highway.

No, no bus goes here as its a major national highway. I personally hired a cab for a day to visit this site and Bundi at INR 9 per km basis in a toyota etios car.
Hello all,
I am planning to take my fiancee to Udaipur and then interested in going to this Garadia Mahadev Temple too in November.
I would like to know more about reaching this place from kota and modes of transport available to reach that point shown in the tourism video. Also, how about the safety? We are a young couple. Please advise on timings and other stuff.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Uday

I visited the site in Aug'16 and I had hired a cab in Kota. Charges of local cabs in Kota are like INR 9 per km and for minimum 300 km.
Plus best time to visit the side will be before evening (5:pm) this route from highway isn't very crowded.
You need to take a left turn from Kota-Bundi Highway (quite a good one) and drove straight to the T point. Then turn right and a few km ahead turned left towards from the only cut we saw. The road to Garadia from national highway is very isolated, so I won’t suggest reaching the site in late hours.
