Well worth a visit on your way to the beach or coming back from the beach . It is only a 6 km walk from town centre to beach passing by the Light House and crossing the rail tracks.

Went here in the evening...if you want to go up, it closes at 5.30, so reach before that. The steps become narrower as you go up. Views were good. If you havent seen a lighthouse before & have time, could see this, else leave. Nothing special.

The visit to the Lighthouse and Museum was worth the time spent. We however did not have time and energy to climb 105 steep stairs, but understandably the view from the top would be great. Learnt that earlier the Light-source would be Coconut Oil Wicks, but now it is Solar Power.…
