On a fine evening, myself along with my parents visited Mullakkal Rajeshwari Temple, we came by walk to the temple from Alappat Home stay. The temple was built around 500 years back in Old Kerala architectural style. The main deity of the temple was Sree Rajarajeswari, who seems to be more powerful. Other deities of the temples were Hanuman Swami,... More

The Mullakkal temple at Alleppey is very famous and visited by devotees from far lands. Goddess Rajarajeswari is the main deity in the temple. There are other deities in the temple – Hanuman, Ganapathi, Subramanya, Nagaraja, Navagraha, Sree Krishna and Ayyappa. The temple premise is very big, neat and clean. The Chirappu at the Christmas and New Year time is... More

The temple is situated in the middle of town. The temple is accessible for devotes from all castes and religions. Men can only visit the buildings when they undress their shirt. In the backyard a chained elephant is walking around.

Loved the Architecture!! However being a rather popular temple, it can get a bit crowded. To really enjoy the architecture, try to avoid the peak time

This temple is in the centre of Mullakkal street, the busiest street of Alleppey. Very serene atmosphere. There were flowers and offerings just outside the temple.

A divine and serene place in the middle of the crowd of Alleppey. I loved to spent some time here, just sitting , listening and sharing. The temple is open 7 days a... More
