Nice location

Ignore the motorway being built. Nice beach to walk along but exposed. We went to swim but there are no umbrellas or chairs so didn't.

Could be a nice place, but the currents are Strong and the water Soon gets very deep. Only a few restaurants, few people and a big construction side for a highway next to the beach. Additionatly, it Looks like nobody takes Care of the place.

Visited last week coming up from varkala. Wanted to check out Dreamers restaurant as recommended from the lonely planet. First impressions of the beach, rubbish everywhere, horrible concrete and sad broken pier. Had an depressing atmosphere, and made even worse with an horrendous road-fly over being built along the sea front. This will ruin the businesses including Dreamers and talking... More

In Kerala, I have visited several beaches, but the beauty of Alleppey Beach is, not too much crowded, ruins of one old harbor built in 18th century, a kids park, nice coffee shops and no big boats and ships so water and shore not contaminated much.

Went there in Feb 2017. It was hot in afternoon but became better post 3 pm. You can spend couple of hours playing around in water. A lot of crowd but not too lonely too. You can find Indian crowd from sarees to pants to shots. It is more like a place to go with Family then expecting romantic beach.... More

Contrary to what Hotel guided, we found this beach to be nice and cleaner than Marari beach. Its a sand beach and a nice walk on the sand during the dusk takes you to another world
