    Heaven
Loved the boating experience. Chill, calm and soothing. The boating lasted for around 2 and half hours and cost around 3000 rupees. I got to see fields that are below sea level (rare), picturesque backwaters, experienced eagle sitting on my shoulders in a hotel midway, narrow canals, different varieties of boats, boat construction yard, people doing their daily chores on the river side etc. Would recommend this to others.

    Venice of the East
Venice of the East as rod called is a serene backwater destination. The longest lake in India Vembanad os beautiful surrounded by paddy fields and small villages whose only mode of transport is by boat. it’s a lovely experience cruising on the backwaters either in a Shikara or a houseboat.

    Amazing experience
Recently we had a houseboat trip with our friends. We had a memorable experience throughout the houseboat journey. From check in to check out it was very amazing. We booked through Noharks houseboat. They have given Chaithram houseboat. Our four bedroom houseboat was very clean and well maintained as shown in the photos send by the owner during booking the houseboat. Specially food was delicious and widespread. They have prepared extra items according to our pre requisite. We directly booked and got better deal.

    Amazing experience (incl. bird watching)
Bineesh went above and beyond to give us the best experience we could have here. We explored the backwaters on two different boats (Shikara and small boat), amazing veggie Lunch was included and whenever we said something about drinking, tea, toilet he made stops here and there to provide us with everything we needed. We saw eagles, ice birds, kingfishers, … and enjoyed an amazing afternoon (around 5 hrs !). The prices are very affordable for that (5000 rps) and it’s totally worth it. Bineesh lives in a village in the backwaters and knows everything about the place, if you are interested in learning. Also, he will take amazing pictures of you to keep memories of this amazing experience! His instagram is: @allus_back_water_cruise

    Alleppey
Alleppey means the 1st thing comes to our mind is backwaters. Well, this place will offer more than this. Clean beaches, temple, church, harbour etc. But, make sure you plan your stay little outside of Alleppey. I was at Mararikulam. The beach was calm, clean and scenic. The fishermen started their homestay that will offer you home made authentic kerala foods. Then you can always hire auto 🛺 and look around the city Alleppey and sightseeing.

Lovely backwaters tour with Bineesh :)
Allus Boat Cruise was recommended to us by our homestay. The owner/boat driver/tour guide, Bineesh, made it a great experience for us. For almost 3-4 hours, he took us through the main and smaller parts of the backwaters. The boat had good shade from the sun, comfortable seats and even a bed. He also took us for an authentic Alleppey lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the waters - the food was delicious! It was our first time experiencing the backwaters and we found it absolutely beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better person than Bineesh to take us around. He made nice conversation, explained everything we saw and even took family pictures of us. Highly recommend this boat tour! Perfect way to soak in the beauty of Alleppey. :) Boat Tour Instagram: @allus_back_water_cruise

    Value for Money and more...
Had been wanting to do the backwaters cruise a lot but the prohibitive houseboat packages sank my heart. Then I saw there was an option of a Shikhara boat ride for a fraction of the cost and I was so happy. Went with Shikhara Tours and was guided by Dhiya to a nice 3 hour ride from Punnamada lake, through some enchanting canals to the surprisingly vast Vembanad lake all for a surprising low Rs.3000. The five of us in our entourage had the entire boat to ourselves The stops on the way at quirky restaurants was interesting and also broke the monotony for the children. In Dal Lake there are floating vendors who will charm you with their sales pitches and I hope here too we see it some day! The boat was made very inviting as it is quite spacious and with comfortable seating and a huge bed right in the middle. The bow is also padded and generously provided with cushions.

    Amazing Alleppey Cruise
Bineesh and Aneesh provided us with an amazing boat cruise experience in Alleppey. Started on a bigger boat and then switched to a smaller one which was able to navigate the smaller canals. Breakfast was included. Aneesh even got us to pose for some photos - was a highlight! Highly recommended these guys! Get in contact with Bineesh on +91 94467 76106

Alappuzha (Alleppey) remains prominent on the tourist trial of Kerela as one of the major centers for backwater boat trips.

Backwater boat ride and stay on the boat is a big disappointment. It has lost it's old charm with houses coming up on both sides of the banks of Perriyar. Rather, one can enjoy the boat ride at Poovar and visit the Golden Beach. There are floating cottages where one can stay for a night and visit the Golden Beach. It falls on the way from Kovalam to Kanyakumari.

We had been looking forward to travel with houseboat in the backwater but were extremely disappointed. The houseboats travel up one big canal with houses on each side. then circles around a big lake with hundred other houseboats ( I’m not kidding, hundreds!) for 3-4 hours. Around 18.00 all go together in a caravan in another big canal. Stop for the night and make dinner. The next morning they all head back to town, which take an hour. There is no cruising in between rice fields, no getting close to nature or being one your own. I think this is just a tourist trap. If you decide to ho, make it a 2 day trip, and check the boat before you go, most are nice but some of them are terrible.
The option to make a day trip with a smaller boat is probably better.

Stayed at the Floating Dreams a 5 bedroom fully Ac luxurious boat house with a beautifully Living room and dining room fitted with a 90 inch TV and latest Sound System to party whole night . YOU GET A FABULOUS VIEW OF THE BACK WATERS FROM THE UPPER DECK.
The food served is very tasty and healthy too. You have the option of buying your choice of Fish and lobsters from the shop and the COOK will prepare and serve for no extra cost.

There are 3 bedrooms on the lower deck with a living room and 2 bedrooms on the upper deck with a huge dining room which can be turned into a huge party space for dancing and games by shifting the tables and chairs to a corner. The owners and staff are very sweet and go out of their way to make your stay memorable.

I have travelled from Mumbai with no contacts in Alleppy. I had boked a cab for my entire 5 day vacation to Allepy Munnar and Cochin and the owner of the agency knew them. He shared the number of NISHAD (the owner of the Boat) Nishad was travelling abroad than for his business but he took my every call and answered my each query patiently. I took 5 days to confirm the booking after I was sure that this would be the best place to stay with my family.

Once we reached Alleppy we were received by the staff at the Jetty and they took us to the boat and thereafter we enjoyed each and every moment to the fullest for next 24 hrs. Cannot describe in few words as it will be injustice. Its a dream which you experience LIVE and remember it for the rest of your life. SHARING NISHAD NUMBER FOR A STAY AT FLOATING DREAMS 9633414243.As he keeps travelling for his hotel business you can leave a message and he will arrange a call back. THEY HAVE 4 STAFF ON THE BOAT WHO ARE REALLY SWEET AND ALWAYS SMILLING AND TAKING CARE OF ALL YOUR NEEDS TO MAKE YOUR STAY PLEASANT AND MEMORABLE.
