Good religious destination!

Crowded mostly... No much activity other than praying 😆.. The church is beautiful... There's the old church behind the new one... Those interested in architecture can visit!

One must go inside the church to see how beautiful it is. Side view of the Church is like the Scottish Castles.

St. Andrew Basilica located on the shores of Arabian sea near Alappuzha is a 16th Century church established by the Portuguese which was renovated and now it is a popular pilgrim center. The architectural excellence of the church and the tranquil atmosphere surrounding the church is worth mentioning. It is one of the 3 Roman Catholic Latin Basilica's in Kerala.

Away from the crowd...amidst a jungle...under the shadows...u can worship Nagaraja, Nagayakshi and Nagathans. A temple totally devoted to Snake. Recall how our ancestors love nature and all the creatures in the universe. This place is an example of our nature loving predecessors.

I went to Arthunkal on 03rd March 2016, the Basilica was absolutely blissful, went inside and sat in silence to enjoy the bliss and absorb the positive vibrations over there, located in the heart of the city and very easily accessible from all parts of Alappuzha. Must visit for all age groups when we are in Alappuzha and its surroundings,... More

The Church was build in the 16th century and is dedicated to a Martyr Saint - St Sebastian. The church has the Statue of St Sebastian which was bought in during this period and there is great devotion to St Sebastian for healing. It was raised to the Status of a Basilica in the year 2010. A place of spiritual... More

This church which recently upgraded to Basilica is a feast for your eyes. This one is famous for getting cured of many diseases. The chambers are huge. The old church which is behind the new one is also worth seeing This place is a worship point for the Hindu pilgrims who are going to Sabarimala on the belief that the... More
