I was on Sevan in February, a lot of internet posts showed me that winter isn't best time to visit Sevan, but I decided to try and I was really surprized of that landmark, which is one of visit cards of Armenia. Don't be afraid that the lake will be frozen, vise versa the view was magic - old temple... More

When in Armenia, you must see Sevan lake, it is very beautiful and peaceful, the only problem is that its outside the city. So if you have a car you can plan to see the sevan lake and Garni in a day which are both outside the city, almost the same direction.

The lake Armenians could be proud of , One of the largest fresh water high altitude lake in the world . The beauty of this lake is that it changes its color and shades according to the weather. The natural landscape surrounding the lake is beautiful coupled by a monastery on the top which gives a exquisite viewing of the... More

Lake Sevan is the largest body of water in Armenia and an hours drive from Yerevan via a highway. I was there on cold day with a stunning blue sky. The lake was blue and beautiful. We visited the Sevanavank Monastary founded in 874 and took a walk on the island. It was too cold to do much and most... More

I stop by a resort on the late and enjoyed lunch. It was a day after a heavy snow. It was really cold.

Our visit to Armenia was fascinating. The place was so great--- specially Lake Sevan. We had a perfect time in visiting the place. Snow everywhere. Thanks to HYURR Services for their effort in assisting us. They are the the best. So kind and approachable. Everything was well organized.

The colour of the lake is spectacular with so many shades of blue and beautiful reflections from the mountains. The largest lake in the Caucasases at almost 1000 square km and the largest fresh water high altitude lake in the region. Nearby Sevanavank Monastery gives great views and several local restaurants serve the local trout as a specialty.

This review is quite late. Lake Sevan is the only body of water you will find in Armenia. It is located at an altitude of less than 2,000 feet.

i fell inlove with its beauty the moment i saw this magnificent lake...going at the top of the hill was really worth it when i saw the lake...the water was crystal clear and it was even mirroring the mountain..It's very serene...This is a must see place in Armenia.
