Take a turn a traffic light 10 in Gatlinburg. Trail goes along the river and you can walk the 2 miles to Sugarlands Visitors Center if you want. Very relaxing just to enjoy the rushing river and woods. Why I love the Smokies.

Even though it passes close to the road, it is still a quiet walk. Total of 2 miles out and back. Best part is that it is dog friendly. Even with the Govt Shutdown, the trail was clean.

This is a must to get information, maps, etc. for the Park. They will brief you on all the activities at the time and give you great information on the entire area. This is the place to go. There are Falls near by also.
