I am extremely disappointed. Having worked retail in a resort area, I recognised almost everything in these stores as being from a distributor I have worked with. If there's 10% of anything in these stores that is hand made, it's difficult to find. I was...More

There are many different shops to visit. We liked the variety of shops along the loop. If you like handmade crafts and artwork this is a must do while in Gatlinburg.

Nice loop drive, or take the trolley--very easy on and off. More non-"country" shops than expected, some fun woodworking, glass blowing and rock shops. A bit slow and too many fragile things in the shops to do with kids but don't miss the Fox and...More

Take it from someone who has spent countless vacations gently strolling through this section of Gatlinburg, the Arts and Crafts Community offers peace, quiet, friendly shop owners, and quality handcrafted souvenirs to take back home. During our most recent visit, the Mrs. and myself purchased...More

We were excited to find some local arts/crafts spots. We visited the shopping area of the Artists at Buie's Place (or something like that), including Smoky Mountain Leather. We followed the road signs for the artisans back to some of the other art shops, but...More

Worth the trip, great shops, restaurants, BBQ and hand crafted items. The loop has everything, art, crafts, food and atmosphere. Did the loop twice, it was really fun.

We really enjoyed the 8 mile loop. We bought a couple items. Enjoyed seeing all the artists and shopkeepers. We will return.

We are taking our almost 5 year old granddaughters to the PF/Gatlinburg area in mid-July. They love to do craft projects. Are there any artisan shops in the area that allow young children hands-on experiences?
