We arrived and the tabernacle was not open even though the hours read open.
It was pretty on the outside but we were eaten alive by mosquitos.

Such an elegant building, surrounded by a big park and across the street from the LDS Temple. The Tabernacle is well-kept and the architecture is stunning. So very pretty to visit.

Special place to visit, and we went in and sat down and heard beautiful music that was extraordinary. The entire Temple Square experience is worth seeing and experiencing!

This building is open for tours in the summer. They are by request. The pipe organ has a wonder sound.
Programs are still held here, One is held during the month the month of July during pioneer day celebrations and also at Christmas. The community holds musical programs. The building was built by the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.
It is a great example of the great spirit of those who came to the mountains of Utah to worship.

Definitely worth going to. We went on a tour of the City to an organ recital. What a beautiful building.

This building is amazing when you stop to think what the builders didn't have to build it. The tour is very informative and pleasant.

Beautiful gothic pioneer tabernacle. Built by early members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the 1800’s. The building was destroyed by a fire soon after it was built, but the church members quickly rebuilt it. It has been remodeled and restored a few times since. The building is still used for church functions, but is also used by the community for various concerts etc. Take note of the benches when you tour the facility. They appear to be a stained hardwood, but these pioneers couldn’t afford hardwood. The wood used is stained to appear as a hardwood. The tabernacle stands immediately across the street from a busy and gorgeous temple. Temples are built of the finest materials in reverence and adoration for the Son of God.

This builtiful old building on Main Street across from the new temple was under renovation during my visit. I walked the grounds and enjoyed the beautiful gardens. I took some pictures and really enjoyed it.

Great tour to remember the history of Utah and then what a great view from the front looking at the Brigham City Temple across the street.

This place has burned down, what twice? It has been rebuilt and remodeled a couple times without ruining the historic character. Problem is, many of the 'guides' are simply local volunteers who have little clue about details which are tremendously interesting. Such a shame that the volunteers are simply give a handout to read and many do not even read that. However, if you can find someone who cares, you will have a great experience. If you find you are not learning anything, ask if they will share their handout with you so that YOU can go through it!
