Description:

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

Loved our 1/2 day rafting trip on July 5th! One highlight of our trip West. Guide, Brent Yorga, was fantastic...funny, energetic, interesting and entertaining. He was enjoyed equally by us (parents) and our 3 teens. Following his lead, our whole family jumped in the 47 degree river. Wonderful memories. Thanks Brent and CRD!

Nate was great! He read a poem and sang a song! We took the rafting trip in the morning from Page on our way from Lake Powell to the Grand Canyon so it was only a ten minute drive. The name is deceiving, so you think it is from the Grand Canyon, but it is not! It leaves from Page/Lake... More

We took a still water rafting trip down the Colorado river. We started at the Glen Canyon Dam. We stopped and took a restroom break and to see some petroglyphs along the way. We floated through Horseshoe Bend and then turned around and went back. Our guide Martin was knowledgeable and personable. We'd recommended this to others.

We took the full day motor trip from Glen Canyon to Lee's Crossing. We were briefed with clear instructions for each part of the trip, and given our sack lunch for the trip. We were bussed from CRD Headquarters to Glen Canyon Dam. You ride a down a two-mile-long tunnel through solid rock to get to the base of the... More

We were 4 adults and 4 teenage girls and we had booked the full day (July 20, 2014) AM Slot Canyon/PM Rafting trip with lunch in between. It was a fantastic experience getting close to this magnificent natur and meeting the enthusiastic guides on both trips. Thanks for a great day from all of us! Klaus Marcher (Copenhagen/Denmark)

We loved our trip with Colorado River Discovery and our guide, Emily!!! It was my kids' (8 and 12) favorite activity of our two week Southwest trip. We did the 1/2 day morning trip. It was beautiful and we braved the 46 degree water to take a dip. Perfect amount of relaxing ride, tour guide info, beautiful views, and a... More

This was our first time to take a full-day smooth water river trip, but it was really nice. Tiff, our guide, had a lot to say and made the trip extremely enjoyable. The water is cold .. 47 degrees, but you have to jump in. Highlight of our trip :)

We took the full day float trip. It was an interesting perspective and view of the dam and rock formations. A sack lunch was provide with generous portions. Water and lemonade were also provided on the raft. The weather was hot, and hydration/sun screen are a must.
