Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

Our guide was a young women from Flagstaff ( I cannot remember her name) and she was great. We went all the way around Horseshoe Bend and back with a 30 minute stop at... More

We recently did the half day float on the Colorado River. Unfortunately the day we went it was overcast and cool so we probably didn't enjoy the rafting as much as we could have. What was exceptional was our guide Martin. He knew so much about the river and the area that we learned a great deal about the river... More

Save your money & time for the Lake Powell boat tour and/or the Antelopes. Guide spent more time idling the boat and talking about the most obvious observations. You would have been able to see more by swimming down the river. It's definitive not worth the $91 / person they charge for the half day trip.

We had a wonderful day tour down the Colorado river to Lee's Ferry and can highly recommend this company. Everything ran so smoothly and professionally, everyone was really nice and helpful, our guide Beth was full of energy, stories and interesting anecdotes, bringing a great vibe on the boat as she was taking us through such a gorgeous scenery. We... More

I have taken this still water rafting trip many times with my husband, before. Aside from the sure majesty of the canyon and the river, the most outstanding element of the trip was our guide, Rob. The guides we have experienced before were knowledgeable, but not like this: Rob was pure passion. He was going into depth about elements of... More

Saturday August 9 th 2014 a group of 5 friends and I went down the Colorado River. We didn't know what to expect except knowing we were going to be in good hands and see something truly amazing. Our tour guide was named Diana. She was amazing throughout the whole experience. From the beginning of the float all the way... More

A 2 mile ride down the Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel in a bus was the start of this wonderful trip. The young Navajo guide was brilliant combining information with personal experiences of being raised in this area. As we floated downstream the sandstone cliffs soared above us, while the reflections in the crystal clear water were spectacular. We stopped... More

I did this tour over the weekend with my 55+ mother and it was amazing. We did the AM/Pm raft and slot canyon tour. As stated, it was a smooth water raft. We sailed through the river and our guide (Rob) was from the area. He knew a lot about the entire stretch and pointed out some natural falls which... More

We took the half day trip and it was awesome. Rob is probably the best guide you can get; very knowledgeable and fun. He adjusted the schedule so that we won't stop with all the other boats and will have a more quiet time at the beach. The view is awesome from the river and the pictures are great. We... More

We had an absolutely amazing still water rafting trip on a beautiful Sunday morning in July. Our guide, Terrance, was the best! He knew the river and the canyons well, so we had a fantastic time listening to him tell personal stories about the area. The scenery, the bistro lunch and the swim in the 47 degree water was outstanding.... More
