My family was very fortunate to win the lottery for this park. We stayed at an Airbnb right next to the visitor's center so went two days in a row not expecting to win. We were very grateful that we won and left around 6am...More

If you are reasonably fit and have appropriate gear you can do this. Those who hike in flip flops or gym shoes and yoga pants this is not for you. Hiked in morning with 100oz of water for two adults and one of us had...More

We were blown away by the beauty of the Vermilion Cliffs. Some parts of the area look like the surface of Mars. It's fantastic. Don't miss this if you're near Page, Az.

This site is on the way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I found many places to stop and take pictures and if you get here at the right time as far as the sun position, the cliffs provide beautiful pictures.

What a treasure. Spectacular sights. And found a dirt road where if you drive down 4 or 5 miles you can see the California Condors that were released into the wild - what a sight to see them fly!

Tim and Simone, long time residents of this area, took us for a hike at White Pockets and on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. They were great guides and very informative. They know a lot about the geology, flora and fauna, and human...More

We were so afraid that we weren't going to truly appreciate the beauty of this area as the morning started out quite overcast and cloudy - but as we drove through, the sun came out and lit up the colours - truly beautiful!

89A follows the vermilion cliffs all the way from where you come out of the forest to the Colorado River. The road (89A) parallels the cliffs so views are from just below the cliffs. You never "enter" the area unless you... More
