Parking at the pass is horrible if you're driving. Much easier to take one of the free shuttle buses. A short slightly incline hike to very spectacular view. Lots of tourists form all over the world.

This is a very popular hike- I would go up early to get parking or shuttle. the views are worth every step. You can see hidden lake on the other side and most often see goats and marmots. Fishing in the lake is great if...More

This is a beautiful, fairly short hike. However, for people like me with knee issues, it is a truly difficult one because the many stair-step risers on the long section of boardwalk are much deeper than normal. That makes it terribly hard both climbing up...More

Awesome little hike, although quite busy. I liked seeing the goats, but parking was a bit of a nightmare and there was basically a line of traffic all the way up. It's a must-do hike, but better in the early morning. In July, there was...More

This is a fantastic short hike with a very good chance to see mountain goats up close along with other wildlife. Make a point to walk down to Hidden Lake, few people make the extra effort. Better yet but Blake Passmores guide book and climb...More

We took the shuttle from Apgar to Logan Pass and thought this would be a good first hike in the park. The hike starts near the visitor center and is an up hill climb on a boardwalk for a while. Once leaving the boardwalk, the...More

The first part of the hike is mostly a boardwalk trail with steps. You can turn around at the overlook or continue done the trail to the lake itself. You almost always encounter mountain goats on this hike, especially near the overlook and will sometime...More

The hike to Hidden Lake is a tremendous hike. The first part has a gentle rise and is boarded leading up to the observation platform. The second part, which in fact is longer actually goes down to the sure of the Lake. He does require...More

Everyone has answered your question already, which is, it depends on how soon in the summer season Logan Pass is opened which depends on snow levels & weather. My understanding is the goal is to have open by July making... More

I hope I can make it down the 2nd half of the hike to the lake. I'm no hiker or fit, just a photography enthusiast willing to push her limits. Roughly how much time should I buffer for the hike?

I see a review was posted by montanahula just a few days ago. Does that mean the hike is doable now, at this time of year? I'm heading up there on 6/11 and I'm trying to figure out the best hikes I can do at that time. I understand that Going To The Sun Road, may not be open by 6/11. Thanks.

The Going to the Sun road must be open to access Hidden Lake. There are many other options for great hikes. Avalanche Lake is beautiful. Many beautiful hikes in the Two Medicine area.
