I was a bit disappointed. This place has an interesting story but there is not much to see. It has great potential, if it was cleaned up.

The Big Ditch is right behind the visitor's center. Very pretty, interesting history. I can't remember if they had picnic tables, but this would be a great place for a picnic

The visitor center had a very friendly welcoming staff, then I walked down the shady trail along the big ditch. Very nice and peaceful and adjacent to the downtown area so you can park and walk to town.

The mural recently installed in this park is totally worth you time to visit - tells the story of the "great flood" that caused the town to be split in half. Very artistic and well done plus the park itself is a treasure to visit...More
