The National Park Service never disappoints, and this relatively obscure site proves it. Stopped with my 3 kids (ages 6, 8, & 10). The ranger at the Visitor's Center was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and helpful. She was almost theatrical in her telling of the significance of George Rogers Clark's significance in American history. She asked where we were headed and... More

The 30 minute movie is a must! Provides the history to appreciate George Clark's accomplishments. Such a beautiful National Park. We started our Passports here. Looking forward to filling the books up. The volunteers and staff are very courteous and helpful. Excellent trip! Thanks!

I have been here several times with groups and by myself. My office used to be in view of this place. I would sometimes take my lunch and go sit at the park as well. Our schools don't teach much on these important places and topics much any more because they are teaching to tests. Take the time to get... More

The George Rogers Clark Memorial is very well kept. The grounds are lovely. The tour is informative and interesting. The guides are all very nice and knowledgeable. I would recommend any family or school group to visit. I enjoy the walk around the grounds taking in the beauty of the setting on the Wabash river.

Picked up this Junior Ranger badge on our way through Indiana. The memorial exceeded our expectations and cross references with many other historic people and events. The Rangers are friendly and helpful, the grounds are interesting and well kept. The memorial itself is gorgeous and intricately designed. Don't skip the audio tour. Glad we stopped here.

The monument is a fantastic building honoring a forgotten hero of the revolutionary war. This is a part of US history that is greatly overlooked. The staff are very knowledgeable.

There is an incredible amount of relatively obscure history to be learned here (for instance, did you know that without the actions of General Clark and his men, the USA Canadian boundary would be the Ohio River?). My wife, three children (7, 5, & 3) enjoyed seeing the monument, watching the documentary in the visitor center, and climbing on each... More

A friend and I stopped by--we're both grandfathers--and it struck me how much fun kids visiting the site were having...as tired parents rested and watched. It's a stunning monument to find in a small Indiana town and while it requires some stair climbing to get up and in, it's worth the effort. Murals: impressive. Architecture: beautiful. Watching adults rest as... More
