Went to a play at St Ann's Warehouse (great!). Arrived early to wander the area. had fab pizza with friendly & capable staff at Julianna's. walked around in a light snow event. We were properly attired, luckily~ it was like a wonderland.

It was very crowded and more or less impossible to find a place for dinner - very disappointing as the atmosphere was what we came for and it did not meet our expectations at all

Due to a hurricane a few years back DUMBO hasn't quite managed to populate its retail space and still has a bit of work to go before it reaches its full potential. Still, some lovely places to eat here and the park is a great spot for a walk with views.

I walked to this area on a Sunday afternoon, after attending a service at the Brooklyn Tabernacle and walking the Brooklyn Heights Promenade. I just so happened to catch the Brooklyn Flea Market, which was fun to check out for a bit. I got a snack from there, and took it to a bench overlooking the river, with great views... More

We spent some time by the water and got lots of bridge photos. Surprisingly not too busy. Didn't find much to do but enjoyed the less busy pace than Manhattan has got. Lots of great views of the city and the bridges. Glad to have gone.

We were definitely there, but not quite sure what we saw. DUMBO is an acronym, Down Under Manhattan Brooklyn overhead. Who would have known unless a guide had told us.
