One of New York's Most Beautiful Neighborhoods

Early 18th Century row house, spectacular views of Manhattan, some great restaurants and cafes, quiet and peaceful, tree-shaded, great place to take a long walk.

91 Remsen, where he lived with his wife June in the 1920's--(Henry and June--that June) is a great starting point. Montague Street has the cool shopping, little restaurants, great place for a leisurely hangout if you walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Punch in 91 Remsen and you'll be right where you want to be. I kept humming the theme song... More

If you enjoy old style brownstones, this is for you. Please remember to bring you camera to take plenty of pictures, and remember to wear comfortable shoes. Plenty of places to eat along the way.

Brooklyn Heights is an unbelievably relaxed easy-to-walk-around area. It's got fantastic town houses and apartment complexes. There is a feeling of not being rushed or at a hectic pace here. And if you walk across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan, you come down onto Fulton Street and then onto a small park Cadman Plaza, and are immediately into the Heights.... More

If you're old enough to remember the lyrics from the theme song of the Patty Duke Show, you're old enough to appreciate the sights in this neck o' the woods. From magnificently restored single-family town homes to venerable old churches, pristine sidewalks, and--perhaps best of all--a real "neighborhood feel" in NYC. A walking tour (either on your own or guided)... More

Brooklyn Heights is a beautiful neighbourhood to walk through and appreciate the historic and well maintained streetscapes. There are beautiful old houses, on the streets near the promenade and further in there is the grander architecture of the Brooklyn Borough Hall, The Brooklyn Historical Museum and the Temple Bar Building. I also recommend seeing the following: The Herman Behr Mansion... More

Rarely been here in the past but now understand why people want to live here - so different to the tourist traps around Times Square - so much history here, so authentic with wonderful old 19th century architecture - great for spending a few hours just walking around.

Loved these characterful Victorian old brownstone houses. We spent 3 hours or so wandering the streets of Brooklyn Heights, admiring the buildings and watched a film crew film a take for a pilot of The Tap, the streets were lined with vintage Sevilles and Oldsmobiles - real pimp style! I could move here tomorrow.
