We just had a meal at the Georgian restaurant and we needed to walk. Great place to walk, stroll with kids and good senior folks as this place is wheelchair accessible. There are bathroom along the way, we did not use them though. There are...More

We went to the Aquarium and decided to walk down the boardwalk to Brighton Beach. Loved walking in and out of the different shops and browsing all the Russian goods. Lots of stores and restaurants. Will definitely return!

Multiple restaurants in area. Great for swimming in Summer. Good for morning strollers and exercises.

Brighton Beach looks like time stopped there. All immigrants from USSR who still doesn't speak English. It's always noisy there and crowd. One of the good things there are good Russian stores.

Besides the lovely beach and boardwalk you have a little taste of Odessa and Moscow. Many russian restaurants and specialty food shops. Also do some shopping on Brighton Beach Ave. If you are lucky you may catch one of their street fairs. Enjoy.

While not quite as cheesy as Coney Island, Brighton Beach has nice sand and sea and a slew of Russian restaurants and nightclubs nearby.

We enjoyed time in the diverse cultures of other parts of Brooklyn, so were surprised at how negative the atmosphere was in Brighton Beach. We expected the Russian influence, but were taken aback at the hostile reception we got everywhere, in shops and restaurants. It's...More

Katya -- while you will be able to walk on the boardwalk a lot of the places on the boardwalk will not be open. I went June 15 (ish) and we made a point to go during the day as the stores were not open that early in the... More
