We visited New York in March 2017 for a family wedding. Honestly, we found New York painful to visit with small children and this museum was definitely a highlight for them. There is plenty of stuff to do at the museum to keep the kids busy all day. Our son spend the entire day going back and forth to the... More

My grandchild and I spent 3 hours here and probably could of stayed longer. He had a great time. Lots to do for kids. I would not realy call this a museum, found the place more like a big indoor playground/kindergaden for children but we had a great time and would still recommend to others AS a place to visit... Given that we stayed in Brooklyn during our latest trip to NYC, we decided to try something closer for the kids. This place has such good reviews that honestly, I expected way more. The museum is really out-of-date, many interactive things that the kids could play with are broken, everything just looked and felt old. It's also a very small... More

This museum is amazing. You could be there for a day! So much to absorb no matter what the age so you want to keep going back! I had so much fun with my grand daughter and my son also we decided to sign up for a year subscription. It is definitely worth your while no matter what age your... More

We called over with our 8 year old on a visit to Brooklyn. Very welcoming and lovely staff. At $11, it's far from the most expensive thing you'll do in New York. The child loved it and didn't want to leave and it has a good educational slant to it, teaching about the various cultures that make up the borough.... More

The kids had a great time. Every floor had another surprise. They loved it and ask to go back the next day.

This is a great museum for children. This is all about culture and making it fun for children. The young ones can play, splash, and make art pieces in their section, while the older ones can learn about cultures from all over the world in life-size, interactive "stores". There is an Italian pizza shop, grocery store, etc. All for kids... More

I will begin listing the things I like about the Brooklyn children's museum followed by areas that needs improvements. This is an excellent place to bring a child especially on a rainy or snowy day. There is plenty of space for your child to run around and find cool things to do. I would recommend ages 6 months to 4... More

Fantastic place for kids of all ages. Took our 22 month old and he had so much fun it was hard to tear him away from there! You can bring your own lunch and eat upstairs and seems like the only place in New York with baby changing facilities! Loads of sand boxes dotted around and water features. Well worth... More

Since our kids were just under 2 we've visited the BKCM dozens of times. They're now 3 and they still enjoy it - even more than before. Nearly everything is hands on and is a good time for kids. It can get a little crowded on weekends and parking is hit or miss, but otherwise would highly recommend! The cafe... More
